Lots of Leverage
I am in the process of remodeling and so far this has been a very handy tool. Obviously, prying and pulling are the primary uses for this thing. It's nice to have the little flat face to hit with a hammer and drive into smaller openings that quickly turn into larger openings when you use the long handle. It is amazing how well framing nails hold things together after 55 years, but this tool will pull those nails and disassemble just about anything I have asked it to so far.

It’s pretty cool.
You can come into an area several ways and it’s a little easier on the hands.

A rockhound's dream tool.
I am a rockhound, through and through. This 18" tool was just recently stolen from me, but I was able to use it for 5 months. I plan to buy the 30" shortly to replace the stolen 18".With it, i have smashed countless rocks. I would be surprised it the number was not in the 10's of thousands range by now. I've delicately opened geodes with it and I've also demo'd off hefty chunks of raw material from boulders. It is a tough, well balanced and weighted, versatile tool. I do wish I had more prying power... that's why I am buying the 30" next time. Some of the geodes comes from slabs of stone that are many hundreds of pounds. The 18" couldn't always leverage its way to victory. I feel the extra length of the 30" will make my life easier, more capable, while still only carrying one tool in the field.Of course there's a time and place for the accuracy of a hammer and chisel... but thats fine work... this is a demo tool, and a beast of one at that.

Heavy, but also sharp
On the plus side, the IsoCore Wrecking Bar (ICWB) works pretty much as expected! It's a heavy object that does a good job smashing the bejeebus out of things. My issue is with the claw end located at the pommel of the tool. This device does a great job punching holes in whatever it touches which - unfortunately - can include your forearms and wrists, particularly on hard or awkward-angled swings. Could this be improved by slapping the deathspike to the top of the tool like a modern-day halberd? Probably. To this point, I'll probably end up demounting it (thanks for the fastening bolt, Fiskars!) and might even weld it to the head on a future project. Until then, thick gloves and arm protection will be the order of the day when the ICWB comes out.
