Great for Beginning Readers
I teach a Cognitively Delayed classroom of 4-5 graders. Some of my students are non-readers or very early readers. I found this book to be great for them. The plays follow the basic Fairy/Folk tales that we know, and are short - there are not a lot of extra words and narrator parts. It's a very basic version of the Fairy/Folk Tale - but includes all those lines we all know ("no, no not by the hair on my chinny chin chin!") My students (non-readers) were able to memorize/read the lines and stand up in front of a group to do this Readers Theater. It was a great confidence booster for them and enabled them to particate in our Celebration for our Fairy Tale unit. I highly recommend for early readers!!!

Can't Wait!
I teach ESL (English as a Second Language) to adults. Our culture includes fairy tales, which is a fun way to teach, as well as learn. I have easy to read fairy tale stories along with worksheets I have made, and also the videos with the sub-titles in English. Now I can add to those materials these darling, easy to say/read plays along with hats to go with characters the students will play. I know they will love it and get a lot of laughs out of it, too. I haven't used it yet, as I just got the book and hats, but really look forward to adding this to the curriculum.

Reading with my triplet grandsons
The boys love my iPad so I came up with a plan during my 2 week visit. First we have Reading Club and then iPad Club. We just read one play per session, so far so good. The kids are enjoying reading with me during my visit. I plan to have them act out The Three Little Pigs and videotape it on my iPad. I found little pig noses and a wolf nose elsewhere on Amazon so we even have "costumes" to add to the fun. It should be giggle worthy and will be a good memory for all.

Engaging and succinct!
This book was so helpful to me. I was teaching Drama this summer to 2nd graders and K2 students and the plays were very short and engaging. My students really enjoyed reading the plays and performing them at the end of our summer program.

VERY Easy reading of very familiar tales
This is a cute book. I bought it as part of a larger project for the teachers at our school to use if they chose. The two second grade teachers involved in the project felt that it was too easy for their students and that the tales were so familiar as to be boring.

I have loved this book for many years
I have loved this book for many years. I just recently bought this one to replace my old one. Children find these stories so engaging, and want to read them over and over. Great for improving fluency and comprehension.
