Don't judge this book by its cover
This book's cover is a little dull but don't let that put you off. I have so many mosaic books but this is now one of my favourites. The Author comes across as a really warm, modest person, constantly creating and then critiquing her work as she pushes on to perfect her chosen craft. She has a wealth of experience and is happy to share it in a really accessible and self-effacing way. Her message is 'have a go and don't worry about making mistakes'.I enjoy making mosaics from bits and pieces from charity shops so this book is particularly appealing to me. She offers some really good practical hints which I haven't found in other books. I am really happy with my purchase

Mosaics Made Fun!
This book helped me to open my creative channels and start making mosaics in more new and exciting ways! While I didn't make many of the mosaics that the author presented, she provided enough possibilities that helped me to see my environment in a whole new way. A recommended read for the mosaic maker who wants to start thinking outside the box.

Better than a class
Pictures, example projects with great instructions. I expect to get good use of this for garden projects.

... own multiple mosaic books and this is my least favorite. It says "found objects"
I own multiple mosaic books and this is my least favorite. It says "found objects", but nearly all the projects are made of broken ceramic or china. I wanted to see mosaic with corks, keys, washers, plastic caps, minerals, etc. Nope.

Making Mosaics with Found Objects
I have a large collection of Mosaic books & this one rates among my top favorites! There are many fresh ideas presented & I'm currently amassing clear glassware for the glass-on-glass windows project. Wish I could take a class from Mara!!!

An inspirational text.
I loved this text. The directions were so clear, all the tools and tips you'd want, and beautiful ideas were shared in color photography.

Great primer.
As an art tutor I was asked to do some mosaics. As I have a) never done mosaics before or b) have any stuff for it this was a brilliant primer on how to make it on a budgets using a lot of stuff I had already, or could beg off people. Unfortunately a lot of people in my life have been declutring and don't keep chipped crockery... But it's a good start.
