Good Light for Electrical Engineers
Bought this for my work as a field engineer. As I'm often inside electrical panels, flashlights are required to be non-conducting. The polymer casing of this meets ANSI standards for non-conducting materials up to 1000 volts, and it's one of the very few lights that can meet this requirement. This guy takes 4 AA batteries (included) and provides a super bright light, especially if looking up into the overhead of an engineering space to look at conduits, cable trays, whatever. The light contain seven LEDs and the batteries will provide light "up to 155 hours." Keep in mind, though, that the light intensity will decrease fairly quickly due to the initial 67 lumens of light. I would estimate about 4 hours at full power before you start seeing a lumens dropoff. Generally that's not an issue for me, but it might be for some. The light is about 6-1/2 inches long and the handle is more rectangular than circular; it does fit well in the hand and isn't slippery when wet (it's also rated as waterproof). The on/off button is on the end cap and there are no special functions other than on and off. The button is rubberized and seems fairly thick; it's the one area on this light that seems to have failed for some reviewers, so I'll try to be gentle with it.There is a lanyard hole on the end cap and the light came with a METAL split ring (oops!) that I removed; a thin lanyard was threaded through the hole. I tried balancing it on the end cap, but no go there. While this light also comes in black, I chose the yellow for visibility when I eventually drop it someplace dark. Being yellow, it does show the dirt and grease a little, but it cleans up nice with soap and water for the next date.Overall, not the cheapest light on the market, but so far it's been a good performer and most likely won't get me electrocuted. If Streamlight made this with two light levels, say 67 and 25 range, I'd definitely buy that also.

Streamlight Excellence
Excellent flashlight. Bright. Uses standard AA batteries that aren't expensive. At this point I have several of these. One in every vehicle and a few around the house. The oldest must be over 10 years old at this point. All I'll buy now is Streamlight. And they're lifetime warranty is the best. If you ever have an issue, just send it in and they'll repair or replace it for free, no hassle.

Size and brightness make it an excellent choice
This is my second Streamlight (the other is still "healthy"). It's size and light weight make it an excellent choice for walks at night. We walk our dog at a county park almost nightly in all weather. We got this second light so both of us would have one. It is very bright and not cumbersome in any way. The lanyard makes me feel secure that I won't loose it. Excellent choice at a great price. Very durable!

Floody beam, perfect for tradesman or anyone in the dark about flashllights
You have to spend money to get a good product. This flashlight is one of the best when it comes to price vs. runtimes vs. brightness vs. durability. I can not think of one better flashlight that fills the niche like this little guy. It is a high performance product that has a great floody beam. This flashlight will not be suitable for a cop or for someone who needs a 200 lumen cannon to light up the other side of a ravine. This is for everyone else who is tired of $5- 25 crap flashlights on the market.

Bright and Handy
I purchased two of these flashlights to strap to my helmet for use in fire service. Great brightness and super easy to turn on and off even with a gloved hand.

Tough, reliable, trustworthy.
I absolutely LOVE these flashlights. They are extremely bright, the batteries last forever, and they are TOUGH as hell. I keep one on my helmet (with the Streamlight strap), and I have several others multiple other places. They are my go-to flashlight for every purpose. Keep one in my pack, one in the truck, one in the garage.Speaking to their toughness: Not only are they waterproof, but I can personally attest that they will stand up to even the most grueling conditions. Mine has stood up to a 600-degree fire situation (1000 degrees at the fire when we started to get some serious rollover, 600 where I was, according to our TIC), and only a small amount of melting happened to the rubber on the front of the light. It still completely works, and never shut off.Love these Streamlights, and I will trust them in any situation.

Meh
Seems tough, typical streamlight quality. Tail switch is very positive. I bought this along with the rubber helmet band for my fire helmet. Only gripe is, it's not very bright, even for a helmet light to be used in smoke, this thing is really dim. I'll bet the run time on the 4 AAs is phenomenal due to this fact. It'll work, just don't expect a far throw at all. This is for up close work.
