I've wanted to get a gamecube controller and adapter since Smash Ultimate came out, but it was just out of my price range. For those of us who grew up with the Gamecube, it was common knowledge that off-brand controllers were cheaper but vastly inferior to the real deal. Because of this, I'll admit I was bit skeptical about this package, but this seemed like such a good deal that I was willing to take a chance on it. I liked the color variety of the controllers - especially the clear lime green (my favorite color). The fact that four controllers and an adapter cost as much as a single Nintendo-brand controller was too hard to pass up.If you are in the same boat as I am, let me ease your fears. Everything in this bundle works splendidly! The controllers are sturdy and well-built, and the buttons have the satisfying heft and click that I remember from my many hours of playing Gamecube well over a decade ago. They synced with my Switch immediately, and worked great with Smash and Mariokart 8. The bundle even includes four extension cables for the controllers, allowing us to play comfortably on our couch across the room from our television.These controllers are a far cry from the inferior imitations us Gamecube fans learned to avoid in the early 2000s. If you want a full set of gamecube controllers to play Smash on your Switch, this is the best set for the best price that you will find on the internet.P.S. I have had these controllers for almost two months now, with the usage rate being up to 4 times a week from several players with constant use (about 4 hours a day). I have also accidentally dropped these controllers several times now and even though the plastic feels cheap they have not broken. The buttons were a bit sticky out of the box but work very nicely now that they have been used. I have experienced no noticeable lag, either from the controllers or the adapter and all worked right of the box with no issues. The controllers do not feel either particularly flimsy nor frail and the rumble feature worked well on all four. The extension cords also all worked well. I have also noticed no decrease in any of the functions while eight controllers are connected.Overall I'm quite impressed with the product and will likely buy it again for a friend come Christmas time!

I've been using these controllers for about two to three hours now, They work and feel great!The build quality feels good, but the connector for the switch to GC controllers feels a bit cheep and a little frail compared to the controllers. On the topic of the controllers, The sticks feel fantastic. I love the soft sticks the Original Gamecube controllers came with and these mimic it pretty well.i would say my only complaints with this product is that the Z button on the top right feels a bit small and clicky and that the right trigger feels like it gets stuck a little when i push it in. But if you can get past that its great!

I bought these as a cost effective option to play gamecube games on my Wii U with friends, and of course Wii games that allow a gamecube controller. Plugging the adapter and controller into a PC worked wonders for configuring say, the dolphin emulator, everything was responsive how I expected. HOWEVER, plugging the adapter and controllers into the Wii U, did nothing, as in no buttons worked at all, didn't even pretend I had a controller plugged in. I tried for days with various programs, all the usb ports, etc. Nothing. Bought a new adapter, the Mayflash branded one, and voila, the controllers work on the Wii U now with no hassle. I don't think it was the adapter being faulty or anything, as everything looks clean, (plus it works on PC fine), I just don't believe it's compatible with the Wii U console, or at least mine anyway (somehow). As for quality, it's been a minute since I held a gamecube controller, but it feels fine, buttons are a bit clicky, but the sticks and everything otherwise is just fine so far in the first week of owning them/using them. All in all, for the price you're paying, this very likely will suit your needs, depending on what you want it for, and you're not a perfectionist about the potential authentic feel of something that may be a little different that I'm not aware of. This works fine if you just want a cost effective multiplayer option.....but buyer beware if you're getting this for the Wii U, in my case, it cost me an extra $20, but I'd still say it's worth it, as 2 of these official controllers and extension cables alone would set you back farther than this price tag by itself, and you get more. I'd also guess that the standard Wii console wouldn't have a problem with these, since you wouldn't need the adapter, which was my only problem item.
