Wald1392 Standard Large Front Handlebar Bike Basket (Silver)

This is a pretty universal rack that will fit most bike styles, except perhaps road bikes with the drop handlebars. I don't think any other company makes such a rack in this price range, even if trying to order from Ebay or Aliexpress, so kudos to Wald for that. This particular model has secure clamps on the handlebar attachment, rather than just hooks, which I highly recommend. Note for my mountain bike, I had to rotate the entire handlebar upward so that the brake levers were not obstructed by the basket.Reasons for deducting one star: one of the vertical wires near a corner came severely bent, and its weld with the horizontal wire in the middle had failed. Additionally, while the handbar attachment spins freely around the top wire of the basket, it appears impossible to slide the handlebar attachments side to side along the top wire. I don't know if this is by design, or just poor quality control. It would be fine, except the handlebar attachments are not symmetrically aligned with the overall basket.Overall this is a pretty good product if the back of your bike is already occupied by other cargo or childrens seats. Fix up the quality control issues, and it'd be a five star product.

Don’t waist your time on any other basket. Buy yourself a wald basket. They are far more sturdy and far more affordable than anything else out there. I bought this specifically to take my 15lb dog on rides with me. This basket is so much more sturdy than any other baskets made for small dogs. I have a larger wicker basket that fits inside this metal basket, that i bungee down for his safety and comfort (see pic).

Nice product for the money. Would give it five stars but two or three of the wires on the basket already came loose at the weld. If you strap anything down too tight they will come loose.

WE GOT IT TO PUT OUR ELDERLY DOG IN SO HE CAN GO ON RIDES WITH US. HE IS ABOUT 12 LBS AND HE LOVES IT.

Nothing fancy, but it's durable and well designed. This model has adjustable legs, which is a vast improvement over the one found in most retail locations. I had to get out the hacksaw and drill for the non adjustable one, but this model went in without a hitch. It's big but shallow, the perfect size for around town use.

This is a excellent, easy to install rack that is truly a great value. I made myself a masonite platform to go on top, so I can carry even bulkier things such as pizza boxes.
