Wrong kit for vehicle but still a good kit

Had to round off the top left corner on my 02' Alero to fit properly, other than that, fit perfectly.

Used this to install a aftermarket radio in my Dad’s 2005 Chevrolet SSR. It comes with two little spacers. This is needed if the radio does not sit flush with the dash.

Metra does make the kit that is pictured with the pocket, but their packaging shows the same part number 99-2001 for the kit with and the kit without the pocket. You have no way of knowing which one you will get until it shows up. According to the instruction sheet, the one without the pocket is supposed to be 95-2001 but it’s labeled as 99-2001 just like the other one. If you are going to buy this kit, buy it from a store so that you can physically see it before you pay for it.I did my research before purchasing it and verified on Metra’s website as well as Crutchfield that the one I needed was 99-2001, but I still ended up with the wrong part.

Works as it should. Good fits my in my 2005 Impala.

The kit fits the car as listed but beware. Not all radios will fit into the unit. Minor trimming was required. This could be an issue for someone with limited install experience.

Good Fit & Finish and came with everything needed to make sure it mates nicely with the dash.

Fit kenwood double din kenwood with trimming. Would not buy if you’re not handy with tools.
