Smoke Tinted Low Profile Window Visor Rain Guard Deflector with Compatible for 2016-2022 Toyota Prius

No instructions in the box, but install is pretty easy:I used the instructions on other visors (though their cleaning "instructions" were just "clean well").DO NOT use 91% isopropyl alcohol to clean the black trim on the doors! I did this on my 2022 AWD-e and it stripped some type of coating off of it. Just use normal glass cleaner or 70% isopropyl alcohol diluted even further with some water.I placed the visors where I wanted them to get the gaps around the edges even on both sides. Then I put masking tape on the roof above the visor hooks and marked the front and rear of the visor hooks on them to get the exact placement. Clean the doors WELL. Soapy water and wipe dry, then glass cleaner and clean towels until the towels aren't dirty anymore. At least 2-3 glass cleaner steps. Pull the red covering off of the short vertical part of the visor. Pull the red covering off of several inches of the horizontal part of the visor, enough so the red covering hangs below the visor and is easy to pull farther. Open the door, hang the visor on the clips, keeping it lifted away from the door. Close the door with the visor still lifted away from the door, then slide the visor back and forth until the clips line up with the marks on the masking tape on the roof. Slowly rotate the visor down onto the door, making sure the top reveal is even along the length of the door. Lightly press the vertical part of the foam tape to the door, then pull the red covering out from between the visor and door while making sure the reveal is still even. Once the visor is on and looks even front to back, press FIRMLY along the length, holding for several seconds at each spot. If you have padded spring clamps, open the door and add those on the top and bottom corners of the vertical part of the visor, the front corner, and 2 or 3 places in-between. I used spring clamps and left them on for a few minutes as I set up to mount the next visor.Once installed, do not drive the car for 12 hours if possible, and no high speeds for the first 12 hours regardless.They look great, the smoke tinting can be seen through unlike some of the other visors sold here that are solid black. If you barely crack your windows open with these installed on a 2016-22 Prius, the wind noise will actually be louder at highway speeds than if you open them about an inch. When barely open the wind pushes through with a higher pitch and is more noticeable, at least to me.Very happy with these so far, they allow me to park the car with the windows cracked for airflow, necessary even with window shades in the spring and summer, without having to worry about it raining.

Product is thick semi transparent plastic with padded guide hangers that help with alignment during install. The adhesive is pre installed 3m tape. If your surfaces are clean at install - expect this product to last the life of your car.

Still have it after 2 years !

Like everything about it, the look, the fit, the premium feel and easy installation. Thus, it also reduces wind noise as I noticed. To install, I pre-fit to see how they look, then put the car and the shade out in the sun to warm up. Clean the windowsills with alcohol pads. Take off the adhesive cover, lightly put the shade on the window and line up the edge, when all lined up I press it in for good.

I’m really disappointed that the rain guard on the driver’s side fell off after just one year. It seems like these rain guards aren’t built to last, and I won’t be buying them again in the future.

Installs easily with the stickers, had it for over 1 month and put over 800 miles on it, no issues. In terms of gas mileage I only lost 0.1 miles per gallon since the whole time. No excessive road noise on the highway. No signs of peeling or falling apart. No signs of sun damage, or color fading. It actually does work where you can keep the windows slightly rolled down and rain or waterfall will not come inside
