Needs additional lead
The product description didn't explain the need for a scart to scart lead and a hdmi to hdmi lead to use the product.However once I got the one lead I was missing the product has worked perfectly. I had bought a smart TV that had no scart socket so I couldn't use my DVD player but with this adaptor it works perfectly and has saved me the cost of buying a new DVD player.One very happy customer

It does exactly what it says on the tin.
I've got a 5.1 surround system with only scart connection, but a newer TV with HDMI. This unit is superb, it couldn't have been easier to install, just plug scart lead from sound system into unit, then HDMI cable from unit to TV. Plug one end of USB power cable, (supplied), into USB socket on TV, and the other end into unit. Job done.

Good product but I had a faulty one
The picture quality was very good but unfortunately there was no sound tried new leads but was not able to clear the problem so unfortunately I had to send it back for a refund

Value for money, brings back tv input on modern tv, just let down a little by picture quality
It brings back a feature to modern TVs, as many new ones are doing away with scart inputs. Its not the best, as it's not going to blow you away with the quality, but it is certainly value for money, and more importantly it gives you back the scart input once more. Would recommend, just have to bare the picture quality in mind

Happy now but initially frustrated
I wished to connect an older DVD and video player to my new Smart TV. The SCART to HDMI connector works well but there was no indication on purchase that in order to operate this one needs both an HDMI to HDMI lead to plug into the TV as well as a 12V power supply via a mains plug. I had to order these separately and the delay took 2 weeks. It is essential that purchasers are warned of the need for both these additional items. Everything now works beautifully.

Does the job
Got new TV with no scart so was recommended this and was not disappointedjust plugged it in and had picture straight away (only slight moan only came with usb lead NO plug luckily I had spare one)So beware. Daughter happy to have Wii back.

Works ok but not RGB
This device works as advertised i.e. it concerts Scart to HDMI however if you want this to use with retro games consoles you'll be disappointed because it does bit support RGB scart so doesn't transfer the best picture quality and also it has lag when playing games. If you want something for games try a Retrotink or OSSC or see retro gaming cables for info.

Worth every penny
Had a lot of old family videos on VHS tape and still had the old JVC player, but was not too sure if this would work with my 4K TV. But I was very happy with the results, Please perfect picture quality is good I would highly recommend if you still have a VHS recorder and you want to play some old tapes. I’ve set my Canon Eos camera up and filling in the TV so I can transfer my films onto memory cards. It’s working very well at the moment.
