Classroom Instruction That Works with English Language Learners

I have a child in my class this year that spoke no English at the beginning of the year. I purchased this book, read it, and adaptedmy instruction accordingly. This child is now speaking, writing, andreading English. She has also gone from being very shy and withdrawnto being very outgoing and happy. I am constantly referring back tothis wonderful book. This has good basic information and is not overly wordy and long and tedious like most education textbooks. This is easy to understand and helpful suggestions for classroom use are available.
