Definitely not like the picture Don't Waste Your Money!
Ordered this for my son for Halloween. We knew the mask would be a bit large, but was expecting it to at least resemble the picture. What we got looks more like a dirty paper plate with gray dots, giant eye holes, and red slashes. We literally could have made the same thing with a disposable foam plate. Besides the fact that the mask looks horrible, there is only netting on one of the eye holes, the elastic straps are sewn on EXTREMELY crooked, and it seems to be missing quite a bit of the coloring. We are going to have to order a different one for him before Halloween. The machete however seems to be okay, if a bit rough around the seams. I strongly recommend not wasting your money on this product. I wasn't exactly expecting movie quality for the price, but you should at least get what is shown. So what we've ended up doing is spending $24.00 (after shipping) on a plastic machete, and a crappy piece of round foam that is going to end up in the trash.

Ok for what it is.
This isn't the most authentic looking mask and machete - but if your reading this, you probably don't need something of professional quality. The mask is soft foam with a strap across the back and one over the top. My mask came with a "screen" over only one eyehole, the other screen was MIA from the start. Didn't really matter, as the one screen over the one eyehole fell off after about 30 seconds. I don't really care if someone can see my eyes through the eyeholes anyway. It was big enough for an adult, and decent enough for my 3 year old to wear. He is still wearing it and halloween has been done with for over 3 months. Upon first glance, the machete looks ok. however my son broke it within 30 minutes after hitting the couch with it several times. The crack happened where the handle meets the plastic blade (which, by the way, is hollow hard thin plastic). Luckily, I had some black duct tape and taped around the base of the blade and handle a bunch of times. Problem solved and its still holding up, but now its starting to split down the seam near the tip of the blade. This will be fixed with more duct tape. The blood looks so-so and is starting to peel off just a little here and there. the blade looks like it was originally white and spray-painted metallic grey. The paint is starting to flake. Of course, this is over the course of almost daily use in the hands of a 3 year old for a period of over 3 mos. For around $10, it was a fine buy.

Friday the 13th Part XI: Jason takes the Dollar Store bargain bin
This thing is absolute junk! the eye holes are awkward and covered with a thin black mesh layer, I cut them out so I could see better. The mask itself is not plastic like I thought it would be rather a cheap foam like substance. The machete is cheap, cheap plastic, I bought a foam machete from spirit, it will be a lot more durable. I would only recommended this item if you are only wearing for an evening such as myself otherwise don't even bother with it.

Came defective, but actual quality of materials were good
It fits fine and my son loves it, but it is missing one of the shaded eye covers, which kind of makes him look like a pirate... He's 7 and doesn't care, so we're going with it, but I was disappointed.

This was not the mask in the picture
Based on the shiny glint in the picture, I assumed this mask would be made of plastic. It was not, in fact, but rather made of the same foam that my son uses at school to make art projects (think star and heart cut outs). I could deal with it being foam, but the registered trademark of the mask maker is imprinted in the front in the mask in large letters, taking up about four inches of space. It looks incredibly tacky, and takes away any sort of a fear factor for the mask.

Okay
One eye arrived without the mesh, the mask is very flimsy, not worth the hassle of sending it back. I am sure I can find a small piece of mesh to fix it. It will work well in the graveyard scene that will have Freddy's hat and glove.

Cool buy
Bought this set a few years back and I'm just now writing a review...my kids ran around the house like psychos chasing each other with the mask and machete, so they loved it. Me, not so much since my 2 year old thought it was funny to hit me with it and laugh. I hide it now but these kids keep finding it and drive me insane lol 🤕🤡

Decent buy!
We purchased this set for our 9 year old son's costume and it worked out well for Halloween. The mask was soft and a bit flimsy but it held up nicely and he was happy. I rated 4 stars because the mask was peeling on the corner right after taking it out of the package which didn't bother us but was a good indication of the quality. Probably not good for repeat wears unless you're gentle but it served its purpose!
