Update for the below review:I have now, in December of 2020, reached my very last label. I logged into Amazon to order again and it showed me that I first purchased these in 2014! That should show you how well these last, including through multiple high temperature dishwasher runs.Original review:I have had these for over a year and am still absolutely amazed at how well they work, especially for the low price. I love the variety of sizes. The labels stay on through handling, the fridge, freezer, lunch pail AND THE DISHWASHER! Seriously, they stay on in the dishwasher - crazy. I love that you can erase what you've written and use the label over and over again. The only complaint I do have is that you have to hold the eraser pen in a weird way because the eraser keeps pushing back down into the holder making it a pain to actually use. Overall, I have been so incredibly satisfied with this product. I will absolutely purchase these again when I run out (which may be never because I haven't had to remove and replace a single one yet).

Did exactly what I needed it to. My daughter has food allergies so I have to send her to school with food each day. I used these labels to easily adjust the date on her foods from day to day. They stayed on long and lasted through many repeated washes by hand and dishwasher. The only reason I have to replace them now is because my daughter has figured out how to peel them off! Overall, I am impressed at how well they have held up and am here to purchase again.

There are as described. The pen works well and the eraser does too. My only complaint, just like some other users, is the "label once TM" at the bottom corner of the labels, and the eraser smells really bad, and the smell stayed on my fingers... but it's not a deal breaker, at least not for us.8/19/17 update... went to use, and pen is dried out... had to buy extra pen.... has not been long since I've had these, so its disappointing that the pen has already ran out.2/10/218 - Had to add an extra star, while the pen doesn't work well, I have been using sharpies and the eraser works to remove that. What I am currently loving about these, they have gone through COUNTLESS dishwasher and hand washing, and these labels will not come off unless you peel them off. I have had other where after they come out of the dishwasher, the edges are un-stuck and wont stick back, so this is kind of a big deal to us.

pen-won't last long, use a sharpie when it stops working. Here's the deal with the eraser - it actually works very well but with some caveats. First, people mentioning the wiggling issue are either extruding too much of the retractable eraser or are failing to push on the little tab on the eraser that says "push" - this locks it firm while friction is applied to the tip. The eraser works well because it is a minimal shred eraser that sucks the ink into itself rather than leaving behind little fragments that contain the ink. This causes ink buildup in the eraser tip which leads to drying/stiffing of the tip to the point where it relatively quickly becomes to firm to effectively remove ink. The reason you are provided a ~6" piece of retractable eraser is you need to trim off the very tip when this drying occurs -viola it will work like new again! Unfortunately you will likely consume eraser fairly quickly this way and they really should provide two of them or perhaps a larger diameter eraser. They do sell refills - but they are overpriced at $8.50 for two little vinyl erasers (amazon / jokari erasers). At $3.50 for 3 magic rub erasers (also vinyl), I will probably try those when the supplied eraser is used up.

Perfect for my unique situation. I send bottles of breastmilk with my daughter to daycare and I have to have them labeled with her name and the date of the milk. So I am have to erase and relabel them each day. I knew I could do this with a strip of masking tape or something, but that seemed wasteful. After searching high and low I found these, which are PERFECT. They withstand being washed too. The eraser gets a little grimy after a few weeks, as it doesn't actually wear down like when you use an eraser on paper. You're really just rubbing the markings off. Once the labels get a little old, it starts to get harder to erase (but still totally doable). So after a couple months I peel them off and put on a fresh label. (Remember, I'm washing, erasing, and relabeling EVERY DAY. Heavy usage). I only plan on breastfeeding for the first year, and this one pack will last me that whole time. I've already used them for 5 months and have 3 more to go and I have plenty of labels left over still. Like I said, I peel off and use new labels every couple of months, maybe sooner. Lastly, I wanted to comment that I've had ZERO problems with the marker that comes with it. I use it EVERY DAY and have for FIVE MONTHS and it is still going strong. It shows no signs of drying out. Even if it did, you can just get a Sharpie fine point pen and that does the same thing.

I used these for several months in labeling my son’s food containers and bottles for daycare—all plastic—and the labels just didn’t stay stuck. I tried different sizes and different locations on the containers/bottles but there didn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason. I made sure to stick the labels on clean, dry, room temperature containers (i.e., before adding food or milk) but I would prep before bed and find many starting to peel by morning. The ones that did stick, however, stayed on decently through the dishwasher.The only reason for 3 stars instead of 2 is that the varied sizes were appreciated, the eraser worked fabulously, and I didn’t have any trouble with the marker being dry. I used both the included marker and my own Sharpie, and both worked equally well.TL;DR - These don’t stay stuck (at least on plastic) but the concept is great. Good short-term solution.
