🌌 See the Moon like never before — clarity that’s out of this world!
The Baader Planetarium 1.25" Moon and Skyglow Filter is engineered to enhance your telescope experience by selectively blocking light pollution and atmospheric glow. Its precision-crafted filter maintains true color and brightness, delivering sharper, more detailed lunar and planetary views. Designed with a standard 1.25" thread, it fits most eyepieces securely, making it an essential accessory for serious amateur astronomers seeking clearer night sky observations.

Works well. Photos pick up more contrast with this filter.

Not worth the money!
I usually believe that you get what you pay for. That really did not work in this case. It seems like a quality product, the threads seem to be made of a very tough material and work great. The clarity looks very good, but I am very disappointed in the contrast, there just does not seem to be much! After comparing this filter to some others I am upgrading my review from 2 stars to 4 stars.

Must have for an urban observer
You might think there is no such thing a galaxy filter. Think again this one works for seeing bright galaxies from urban locations. M31 was not visible from my yard. With it it popped right out. This filter also greatly helped visual detail on Jupiter and Mars. Well worth the cost. A must have for an urban observer.

Worth every cent!
I was doubtful about this filter--having been disappointed more often than pleased with filters--but this one is exceptional. My back yard has two high pressure sodium street lamps flooding it and I rarely see anything other than the moon, but with this filter I can see stars. I even aimed my scope at a street lamp and saw virtually no light. This is well worth the cost.

It works
I may have been expecting unrealistically high levels of filtering - blocking streetlights entirely - but it works quite well at darkening skies for both visual and imaging applications. Not perfectly black but less of a peachy tone. While the air has been too turbulent to get really stable images, I haven't been able to attribute any reduction in image quality to this filter.

Great filter.
I like this filter, especially for lunar observations. Great service and speedy shipping.

Not worth the Cost for the improvement in views.
Expected a more noticeable impact with my views of the moon, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn. Experience and enjoyment of using the filter does not match the high expense.
