Knife Sharpener

When I moved into my own place, I got a lot of hand me down knives from my mom, who had kindly stored them away for me from her last move. The problem was, they were all on the older side and quite dull. The first time she came to visit me, she poked fun at the fact that she couldn’t even slice easily through a cucumber while she was preparing a salad. I decided it was time to buy a knife sharpener, but I didn’t have a lot of extra money to spend on a fancy electric item like that. Then I found this sharpener, which fit my needs perfectly! The price on this hand-held sharpener was just right, but even better, it did a great job, and it is so simple to use! The sharpener arrived on time in just a day or two, and it is clearly of good quality. The grip fits your hand perfectly, and two no-slip pads on the bottom of the sharpener help keep the sharpener steady when using it. It has three options for producing the sharpest blade-- course, medium, and fine, which are clearly labeled on the side of the sharpener. All you do is drag your knives through each one, starting with the course option, then medium, then finally the fine option to produce a very sharp blade. You don’t need a lot of pressure when doing the sharpening. The knife’s own weight as it drags through the sharpener seems to be plenty to get the job done. It’s amazing how much easier preparing food is when you have sharp knives to work with! I would definitely recommend this sharpener. It made my old, dull knives work like new. You won’t be disappointed with this purchase!

Should have called it the Sharp Sharpener - There is a good reason why this product is Amazon’s choice and I can promise you it that it is a well-earned recognition, forgetting the ultra reasonable price. A product like this could be charging double and no one would bat an eye as the quality is just that good. Good products that do what they are supposed, with ease, grace, and at an exceedingly good price point don’t come around often. Don’t miss your chance to snag yours before the price goes up, you’ll be glad you did! I will add some of my own pictures to this review but really the images provided on the site from the merchant really do the best justice in illustrating. For someone with small hands and not a ton of strength, the ergonomic handle shaped just as so gives me the ability to keep control without any worry or concern of a knife slipping out of my hand. The fact that it is 3-in-1 of course simplifies life as you only this one sharpener, not a different tool for each size or type of blade. The fact that it has been tested and blessed by chefs (as in plural) should tell you something as it did me. This is not my area of expertise, I wouldn’t know one knife sharpener from the next so the fact that thought enough to have experts tests first speak to the type of quality company that is sitting behind this most useful product. Truth be told, one of the things that most attracted me to this product was the red color as my kitchen is red but I can say with absolute certainty after using this product even if it were purple it would still be worth every penny. Do yourself a favor and buy this before it’s too late.

i was bought this item last year November 2019. really This sharpener REALLY works! I have revived all my kitchen knives (works only for non-serrated blade knives) and it was so easy. It takes a minute to sharpen a knife, just like they say in their simple straightforward instruction guide. There are three slots with different blade/rod material: 1 coarse diamond - 2 medium steel - 3 fine ceramic. Just pull back your knife several times through each slot from 1 to 3, and voila! You can split a hair! In addition, it is ergonomic with non-slip base and very lightweight (take it with you anywhere you may need to sharpen a knife, like work or trips). This little thing is now a single most useful gadget in my kitchen! Thank you.

Overall I like it and it is priced right! The labeling and instructions for the 3 stage sharpening are properly described. I was worried about understanding what to do and what it was doing, but it is pretty self explanatory. I was actually surprised by how sharp my knife got on my first use. I wouldn't say the knife was as sharp as when I first got it, but it is definitely a sharpened knife and not dull at all after using this sharpener. Easy to hold and use. Definitely a kitchen staple for me from now on! Only time will tell how long this will last. Edit: I originally gave a 4-star rating and contacted the seller's support team, and the seller went above and beyond to ensure total satisfaction. The support specialist I corresponded with took time to understand my issue which wasn't about sharpness (because this sharpener definitely sharpens), but it was about the consistency of the sharpness throughout the knife. After our correspondence he offered multiple channels of resolution and suggestions to get consistency of sharpness throughout my knife , and has definitely impressed me enough to bump the rating to a 5-sar for overall value, performance, and personalized service. I would recommend this even more!

This sharpener is just ok. After using it for several months, I can say yes, it does put a sharp edge on the knife blade. And I like that it’s compact to easily fit in the drawer. But each of the three “channels” is quite narrow, with a plastic sleeve on each side. Unless your aim is better than mine (which wouldn’t be hard!), it’s hard to always hit the center of the channel with each stroke of the blade, without getting hung up on the plastic. Next time I’m going to look for one with a different type of guide so it’s quicker and easier to use.
