Poor Editing
Very surprised by the poor editorial quality of this F.A. Davis text by authors Teri Moser Woo and Marylou Robinson - "Pharmacotherapeutics for Advanced Practice Nurse prescribers." There are multiple errors including, incorrect medical content, spelling errors, grammatical errors and just overall poor editing. Most distressing, being a pharmacology text, was some of the misspellings of medications (Examples: page 236 oxcarbazeine [sic] for oxcarbazepine, page 420 ribaroxaban [sic] for rivaroxaban). Oddly, my Grammarly spell checking app easily picked up these spell-checking errors.Example of unclear and conflicting information page 190 - Clinical Pearl: "For patients with diabetes who must take a beta blocker, the diaphoresis associated with hypoglycemia is masked by these drugs. Patients should be taught to recognize this indication of possible hypoglycemia and test their blood glucose levels whenever unexplained diaphoresis occurs." - Common medical thinking is diaphoresis is typically not masked by beta blockers.Chapter 20, Drugs Affecting the Gastrointestinal System Page 531 informs the reader information regarding GERD "Regardless of the approach chosen, lifestyle modifications occur throughout therapy. They are discussed in detail in Chapter 35." WHICH IS CHAPTER 35 IS TITLED "HEADACHES."I found myself cross-referencing other sources to verify material correct within the Woo pharmacology text as I was not convinced that the information contained within was always accurate. Cross-referencing took up time, and the multitude of errors was completely distracting. The cost of this book should demand a better product and I would think the author and publishers should be disappointed in the end product, as I was.

Great book
Should be in every nurse & ARNP book shelf. Written for nurses by nurses. Puts the nursing prospective in medication management & awareness. Highly recommend.

Easy to read, fast shipping
I hate textbooks, and I hate physical textbooks even more. I had to order a physical textbook because my graduate program required it if I wanted to use it for open book (yay) quizzes and tests. However, for reading personally I would rather lug around my computer than a ten pound textbook and with the new copy of this book, I got an access code that allowed me to download the ebook via vitalsource bookshelf for much less than the price of the e-book. I also received the book with one day shipping. I find it pretty easy to read along as well.

Hardcopy plus Online Features
The book comes with a code to use online resources, including access to the textbook online. I find it extremely helpful to have this textbook at home for reading and studying, but it is very heavy. If I need the text away from home, I log into the website and view the textbook online. The online textbook is searchable and you can select by page number as well. So, I actually like the online features. Note: you have to buy the book NEW to get a unique access code for the online features.

Great text. Comprehensive.
The textbook was great. I wish it had been enabled for text to speech or Alexa reading. Other than that, no complaints.

Needed this for class, ended up liking it
This was the required text for my Adult/Gero Primary Care NP program. The book is user friendly, offers many "clinical pearls", and overall I don't have much to complain about. There are things that I wish were discussed more in-depth such as RA or Hep C. Some of the material also repeats somewhat. But I don't think you would go wrong with this text.

Damaged binding
I just received Pharmacotherapeutics and the hardcover binding is in bad shape running along the left side of the book. I rented this item and I don't want to be charged for damage upon its return. The top right hand of the side-binding, the bottom left hand of the side-binding and scattered areas along the side-binding are torn and the cover is peeling off. Upon first opening the cover, the first couple of pages are pulling away from the hard-backing. Again, I am just noting these areas so that I am not charged for damage. Thank you
