good grill for 2 years
I'm on my 3rd year with this grill and everything is rotting out. searing burner is split down the side now fire just bellows out the side uncontrolled. grates are all rusted away. Now the other 5 burners are starting to rot out. Oh, and here's a tidbit.... it was kept in the garage and pulled out as needed. This was an extreme was of money!

Worst Grill Ever!
Do yourself a favor and buy a quality product from another company. Since I got this grill it has had nothing but problems. I have had it just over a year and the bottom has rusted out and it has been under a cover that I also bought from the company and has not lasted. The burner covers are to close to the grate making the grill not heat evenly. Burner covers have been replaced twice and rust out quicker than you would expect. The hose going from the grill to the tank is not long enough, so you have to put something under the tank to make it work. This product is garbage.

Not Duel Fuel for Such a Nice Grill
Purchased it from Menards, put it together, and just found out it cannot be converted to natural gas. I don’t understand why it’s not dual fuel for such a nice grill. Especially when a majority of Char Broil gas grills are dual fuel.

Low Price Reflects in its Construction
Serves my purposes with some nice featres, but cheaply made. Will blow away in a stiff wind. The ignitor just went out after 16 mos. After navigating through an incompetant service rep I connected with one who was able to cover it under the warrantee, but to be shipped in 4-6 weeks! Expect a throw-away unit after 3-5 years, as the compnents will surely crumble by then. Highly recommend a cover if buying this unit. To buy again it would have to be a super-sale!

Great value LARGE grill
I wanted to give my real world feedback on this grill since I saw so many misleading reviews on here. Fact: I've had this grill for 9 years! I'm finally to the point that I've replaced enough internal parts that it is better to just replace the grill. However, this is to be expected with virtually every grill I've ever owned from Weber to Charbroil. Keep in mind the pros vs cons of this grill and you will exceed your expectations. With this grill, you are getting three things for a very cheap price. Six burners, real cast iron grates (which I much prefer over stainless), and stainless shell (most of the visible parts including the hood). This is not their higher lines (actually pretty much the lowest line) such as their Commercial, Medallion, or Signature. And as a brand, this is often slammed compared to Weber only because Weber doesn't really offer a value brand that is a direct comparison, therefore people compare the $400 Weber to a $200 Charbroil instead of apples to apples.Pros: Grates are great solid thick cast iron that creates a great sear! The size is also very helpful. I can literally cook for twelve guests without an issue, this is a must for large parties. If I need to cook for fewer people, I just turn on two or three burners. Also, while this isn't infrared and people have said this doesn't cook evenly, it is so large that if you want a cooler cooking side, simply turn off one or multiple burners and learn your hot and cold spots. You simply can't have that flexibility with a smaller grill. The stainless hood is nice as well, although not as well designed and thick as some competitors, but it has not shown any corrosion in 10 years. I also like the cleaning tray on the bottom of the grill located in the back (technically two, one for grease and one for "everything else"). I wish I had cleaned this one more often, this grill probably would have lasted another few years. Also, while this isn't infrared, because of six burners, I can achieve extremely high temperatures in this grill.Cons: This is a cheaper line, meaning that the stainless steel isn't as thick as higher end units, and the doors and side shelves are mostly just stainless for show feeling somewhat flimsy. Also, the screws didn't line up perfectly on one shelf hole. I was able to force it in, but it took some effort. Also, the back has a HUGE vent on the hood that is probably a little too big as it is susceptible to wind at times and releases a little too much heat.Otherwise, for the price, I have nothing but positives. Even expensive brands will typically wear out after several years, you have to decide if you can do the maintenance and if it is better to spend twice as much for 1/3 more time. The secrets I've found with every grill are ALWAYS put on a cover after you are done using, purchase cheap canvas covers (think khaki, not black) from Amazon, they last about two years for $30, clean the grease tray regularly (grease corrodes), scrub the grates regularly with a good brush, and expect to replace the inside tents regularly. Other than the light not working, this grill still works after nine years without any major issues. I am finally replacing because the lower shell is corroding through, but that is almost entirely my fault. I have been diligent with everything else on the grill, but often neglected emptying the bottom tray. But using a quality canvas cover alone makes a world of difference. For those "claiming" they used a cover and it still corroded, I'll say it, they are liars, either to us or to themselves. Forgetting to put the cover on every once in a while is not the same as using one all the time. If you start to let sun and water do its work, then this will not last as long as grills with thicker components meant for people that they expect to neglect their grills. But for those of us that take care of your grills, this grill has great feature for the price and replacement Charbroil parts are cheap.
