I originally bought 2 "OEM Quality" Vanos Solenoids for my 335i from an aftermarket brand hoping to save some money. One of the two failed right out of the box, so I ended up buying Genuine BMW. When you hold up the aftermarket part beside the BMW part, the difference in quality is obvious. Considering the profound impact these Vanos Solenoids have on performance, I strongly recommend spending the extra money to get the BMW part. And if you're going to do so, you can't go wrong with this seller. Their prices are great, and they ship very, very fast. I ordered this late Sunday night, and had it in my hands Wednesday morning -- with free shipping!

5 stars so far. About $100 cheaper than dealer. Replaced my intake solenoid per diagnostic code and cleared problem and code. Car just stumbled again on start up but no code yet. I ordered another as spare for my exhaust side. Don't cheap out on the Chinese version. These are electric solenoids so quality is important.

I had one of the VANOS go out on my 07 328 xi. Since I was at the dealership for another service, I had them fix it. $420 later I was out the door, until a month later when the engine light came on again. Had the car diagnosed and it turns out the 2nd VANOS was on it's way out. Looked up the fix online, slapped myself for spending that much the first time, and ordered the part. Got here in 3-5 days, and 10 minutes later, problem solved. Not another peep from the sensors.
