The starter has worked well.

The original starter in my 20 year old Craftsman rider finally went south. Saw this one and thought it was worth a shot. Arrived in a padded box with no damage. I've already pulled out the old one so this one got installed in less than 15 minutes. This was on a Briggs opposed twin, and you're supposed to remove the flywheel to get the inside starter bolt. You can get to that one without taking off the flywheel, but you'll need skinny fingers and some patience. I've removed my deck and got the snowplow mounted. Hopefully it w ill last through winter. So far I'm giving this starter 5 stars.

I used to have to jump the mower to get it to start. I put a long charge on the battery and replaced the starter now it starts with no jump pack.

I have been messing with old starter for years, with spring and gear, kept on binding up. I should went this route from the starts. Machines starts like new. Fits great to 1995-96 MTD Four wheel steer mower.
