Sharp R1875T 850W Over-the-Range Convection Microwave, 1.1 Cubic Feet, Black

Works great, the almost identical but 20 year old Sharp microwave convection oven that came in our RV was not working very well. The microwave seemed to work ok but the convection didn't work well at all. I thought about trying to repair it but when I realized how old it was I decided to replace it. Since the new model fits on the exact same bracket as the old model the replacement was easy. The unit is a bit heavy but my wife and I were able to get the old unit out and the new one in place in around an hour. The new unit works great and the convection oven really heats up food quickly. My wife loves it when we work together so a win-win situation.

I liked the way it looked. It worked great for a couple of years. Don't buy this product. it's not dependable. I've had 2 of them and neither one would keep working. Thank God I purchased the warranty. Seems like I paid around $400 or $500 hundred dollars for it. Definitely didn't spend more than $600 dollars. Why has it trippled in price.They won't get me a third time!!!

The unit is a replacement for the old R 18 series but some things are not up to the quality level of the old unit. First noticed was the cheesy vent filters with the new unit. I toss them and kept the old ones from the previous unit. The door alignment is off so hard to close. Had to realign so that it could close correctly. Doesn't seem to heat as well as the old one, seems to take longer. Well considering I had the previous unit for 8 years I think my statement are very accurate. It is a nice unit which is why I bought another one to replace the old one. I was surprised that the old one only lasted 8 years but it is put to use. So I guess that would be inline with most microwaves etc...

The unit had more damage than I expected. The bottom was caved in and as a result , the glass was broken. I thought that "a little cosmetics" meant a LITTLE cosmetics, not the kind of damage that this unit had. I spent about $100 getting it repaired to the point that it was presentable. I would be a lot happier with this merchant if they would reimburse me the cost to repair it.

Arrived on time but with broken upper vent grill. Ordered replacement, it to arrived broken. Plastic grill piece in made from a very brittle plastic. Oven works well but is very loud.

This product is an excellent product. It is a LARGE convection/microwave oven. While researching this item before buying, I learned that this line by Sharp was initially designed for use in luxury motorcoaches (RVs), but was later marketed for home use to introduce homemakers in the US to convection ovens. This is a product with all the bells and whistles - but still easy to use - I bought it for my 76-yr old, technologically-challenged mom who had the previous generation (in use for 16 years until they cracked the door accidentally.) The installation is very well-engineered and simple, however the oven is large and heavy, making it awkward. It took two people to lift, hold, and attach. Also, if you are installing into built-ins, make sure you measure carefully. The listed dimensions are very accurate. Also, read the instructions carefully regarding the venting instructions. If you direct vent (just blow the air back into the room) as we did, you need the "optional" carbon filter which sits behind the vent (above the door). It has to be purchased separately, and replaced periodically. All the other vent filters are durable (just wash occasionally) and come with the unit.I would highly recommend this product.One note about the actual purchase - be skeptical about shipping times. The seller we bought from was a large dealer, however, products like this often ship from the manufacturer or a wharehouse, and can take several weeks due to shipping cycles. I actually finally drove to the shipping hub to cut the delivery time a week. This was after enduring a 3 week delay beyond the scheduled delivery date. Just be aware that this is common for large items like this.

This was the biggest POS I ever purchases. It never worked from day one. Since I purchased it from Amazon, No one wanted to service it. I had to call Sharp directly, and they actually sent a service man with a Broken leg to take the Microwave. Remember It Never Worked from Day One, After five times of me taking it down, and carrying it back to his truck so he could take it across town to repair it, It came apart in side banging and clanging like a chevy with a broken rod. I took it down for th last time, and purchased a Whirlpool from LOWES Hardware, They came, installed it, and even though it has a five year warrantee, it hasn't had a single hiccup. With the many things I buy through Amazon, I will never buy a major electrical appliance through them again, and I will NEVER buy ANYTHING from Sharp. They should have taken it back when it needed a power control board without ever working.

The oven replaced the original Sharp convection/microwave in our 2002 motorhome. It fit into the space perfectly. However, the new bracket and the new bolts did not match up. Turns out one of the bolts was stripped. Tried an old bolt in the new bracket, no match. Took out the new bracket, reinstalled the old bracket and used the old bolts and finally it was installed. This was not a quick easy install. However it is in, it works and I didn't have to learn a new system. A day well spent in the long run.
