Exciting Help For Alopecia Areata Problems
Of course, as the author reiterates, having alopecia areata is not the end of the world, but to many people it sure feels like it is. One of my aunts developed the condition after surviving a train accident. She made the best of the situation by having a closet full of wigs, and going on with her life. She dated and married after she developed the condition, so she did not let it slow her down. The different remedies that are mentioned in this book were not available to her then. With the baby boomers coming of age and their drive to avoid looking older, researchers will find a ready and inexpensive remedy, but until they do, I'm impressed by the many different options for treatment that already exist as outlined in this well-researched and well-written book. It tells me what the condition is, gives the various causes and then lists the several treatment options that are available today. What more could you ask?Great little book on the subject and highly recommended.

nothing special in this book
if i could give this book no star, I would. There is absolutely nothing here you can't find on the internet. If you don't have the time to look up hair loss causes on the internet, then this book is nothing more than a good starting place. As concerns the autoimmune disease, there is just a list of conventional treatments, nothing extra! I was hoping for a more detailed natural alternative. Also, as regards natural treatments for hair loss (no matter the cause), the list is not even comprehensive. The only positive about this book is the fact that it tries to help put things in perspective and help you understand that hair loss is not the end of the world (though I'm sure this is how it feels for women whose earnings depend on their looks).Bad purchase that I definitely regret. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Informative
Great book to read for those who are struggling to be positive about their diagnosis. As I was reading the book , I could see a lot of things that I have tried and working towards. So this book reassured me that I'm going in the right direction with acceptance and dealing with alopecia areata.

A must read. :)
As a person who actually suffer (partly) from Alopecia Areata all I can say is that I wish I'd read this book long ago. As the author states it's hard to live with this condition and especially the psychological issues that springs from it. I feel that after reading this book I'm more equipped to deal with my disease. Simply a must read if you or anyone you know suffers from this. Thanks.
