This battery has done really well so far for me in the past few years. I have had it in my smoke detectors for quite sometime and have not had to change it much. They are still running pretty strong when I checked the power. I also checked the one I had in storage and it lost a little bit of charge I feel but it is still a good battery. The battery installs easily into my smoke detector and I have yet to find a need to replace them. I only replaced my other branded one with these. They have not had any issues as of yet. They all individually wrapped in plastic which is good for storage but a bit annoying to open them one at a time. Overall the battery has done really well with my smoke detector. They have lasted for a very long time in the detector and storage. I have had no issues with low power as of yet which is good. The down side the individual wrap is a bit annoying.

These are OK batteries, but I would not recommend buying a lot of them for storage for later use, as I did. (All sizes). Brand name batteries usually have about a 10 year shelf life. I have a large home, 15 rooms total with a smoke/heat detectors in every room except the bathrooms and laundry room. So I bought quite a few of these in a couple of orders because I sawp out annually. A little over a year after my first purchase, half the D's in the box were discharged and most of the AA and AAA's were done. Buy them to use immediately, not to use later would be my suggestion.

D batteries are few and far between in items no a days but when you need them, you need them. Keep your tongue off of the working alend and youre good to go.

After battling my beeping fire detectors, first one, then another....after inserting these 9 volt Amazon batteries, I.finally changed to new, other brand batteries, and they worked. I sat down to write an unflattering review of the Amazon batteries but after discovering that I had purchased them in 2018 and they were going on 7 years old....they are guaranteed for five years and they certainly exceeded that. So...I apologize, batteries. Good on you. I only gave them four stars because the clear wrapping on each battery is hard to detect and remove.

Great value for money compared to other name brands. Last just as long and provide the same power. Unused batteries have stored well with no leakage.

Used these to build up my stock of batteries. I did test one and they work fine. No leakage and the batteries are the right size.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I've only used them for smoke detectors but seem to work well and last atleast a year.

I love Amazon Basics batteries and have noet had any problems with them. They power our devices as we expect and they are a good value from a brand that we trust. I have another size in our flameless candles that are set to come on every night, Those batteries have consistently powered the candles for 4-5 months straight before needing to be replaced. The candles are set to come on automatically every night for about 4 hours.
