Works as Well or Better, than Original
We still have 2 older Vizio TV's in the house. The 37" TV remote broke about 18 months ago & I purchased one of these. I couldn't be happier (unless they came out with a lighted version, of course.). Then, recently, the remote on the 32" Vizio broke. I knew this model would work, because I tried using the remote to control the TV. Bought the new remote and even though it's from a different seller, I'm just as happy. They may be from different manufacturers, but they appear identical. They have a nice heft in your hand, but not too heavy. I hate lightweight wimpy remotes. Dropped the first remote several timers & it's fine (but it was on carpet. Not sure if you could say the same, if you were to drop it on a hard surface. ) These are so cheap, I wouldn't worry about it. I bought silicone covers for our 2 NVidia players, but the hand remotes are $75 each, so it's worth a few bucks to invest in a cover. Wouldn't worry about covers for these, when it cost nearly as much as the remote, unless you want to change the color or distinguish it from your other remotes. This is a good replacement remote. Go for it. I have twice and don't regret it.Thank you for reading my review. If you have found my review helpful, please let me know, by clicking below.

Does more than I was expecting.
I needed a remote for a e3d470vx, and this is the part number the Vizio website listed. However, they wanted $30 for it! I was just hoping to be able to use it to power the TV and 3D on and off without getting off of the couch, which it does perfectly. That was worth the not-even-$9 by itself! However, it also controls my KODI media center on my raspberry pi (without needing an IR sensor) AND my Denon surround receiver over CEC! No more leaving the wireless keyboard on the coffee table, or using the remote app, or the awful Denon remote! I'll still need to use the Denon remote if I need to change advanced settings on the receiver, but this remote can handle 99% of the things I'll ever need to do. I can navigate the menus, select files to play, pause, resume, rewind, fast forward, stop, and pull up the playback menu in KODI. The CC button doesn't seem to toggle subtitles on the KODI box, which is disappointing, and the INFO button isn't passed to KODI, either, but oh well. Both D pads work with KODI, which is nice. I realize these features are just as much part of the TV, but it won't do any of that without the remote telling it to.Shortcut keys for Amazon Prime video, Netflix, and M-Go, (whatever that is.) Big shiny hard plastic button in the middle brings up the apps page (for the TV, not the KODI box.)The buttons are firm and press with an audible click (except the bottom row of the number pad, for some reason.) The remote itself seems solid.I'm sure nothing I've posted in this review will be new information for anyone considering this remote as a replacement, but since I got the TV with no remote I was pleasantly surprised!

A Must Have For Vizio Smart TVs.
This is a must have if you have a Vizio Smart TV. Of course you have the three quick acccess buttons (Amazon, Nextflix, M-Go) that makes getting to these apps a breeze. Most importantly you have the QWERTY keyboard on the back of the controller which really speeds up finding the show or movie you want to watch. Without the keyboard I would say you are going to spend probably 5-10 times more time using the on screen keyboard finding your shows / movies. My only nitpick with this remote is that it is not always responsive this is probably because when you are using the keyboard the remote will be sideways making the IR transmitter on the remote point away from the receiver on the TV. This would not stop me from recommending this to all Vizio Smart TV owners.

QWERTY Keyboard is an Upgrade to Normal Remote
I can certify that this remote is compatible with the VIZIO E550i-B2 model. This is a step up from the remote that came with the TV because of the QWERTY keyboard on the reverse side. Makes it a much better experience when entering usernames and passwords with the apps. I ended up contacting VIZIO support about the 4 colored buttons on the back side with the letters X Y B A. The rep said that this remote used to be used for a product called Co-Star which allowed downloads from Google Play. However, they serve no function with this particular model TV. Giving the remote 4 stars because they work as they should with the TV, but still a lightweight remote and I am trying to get my universal remote programmed so that I don't have to use this one for the main features. The price was worth it for me just to have the QWERTY keyboard functionality available to me.

Used and useless remote.
I have purchased this product in the past and it worked fine. It is not particularly sturdy nor durable (keep in mind I have three daughters) but I would have given it four stars over all. This time I received a useless remote, clearly used and tossed around, showing numerous scratches and some minor wear in the keys. For the price I paid I would not mind keeping it but I could not even open the battery compartment. The seller has agreed to a refund, that’s a plus, but now I’m hesitant to order again from this merchant.

Point and click
Inserted batteries and worked simply by pointing at the tv. Bought it for the keyboard as the remote that came with our tv looks like this remote but without the keyboard. Each time we have to retype our internet password, it is now faster with the keyboard. As an unplanned perk, it is nice having a remote on each side of the bed, so my husband and I now each have one. No more searching for the remote when needed.

No need to program it! Works great.
I wasn’t even sure this would work on my vizio, since it is a 6 year old TV, but all I had to do was put in 2 AAA batteries and it worked. Didn’t have to program anything. I actually like the feel of the buttons better than the original remote, they’re nice and “clicky” which is very satisfying. The only downside is that while the clicks feel nice under my fingers, it is a little noisy, which bugs my husband. Trivial detail.
