LutronMaestro 8-Amp Multi-Location Companion Switch | Not for Standalone Use | MA-AS-WH | White

I have lots of 3-way circuits in my home and ended up swapping all my paddle switches for maestro units. They look great and function just as they should PLUS they're way easier to operate than any other light switch I have ever used. The only weird thing is that you can't just link 2 normal maestro switches together... You need this companion switch. I suppose this is alright as these companions don't need the neutral (white) wire and they cost about 25% less than the master switch.Great for OCD people like me who battle making all my paddles go the same way. No paddles here... Just one button.Minus one star for a lack of led like the master switches have.

I recently started on remodeling my home and one thing that was at the top of the priority list was to update the old electrical. I did a lot of research on ultimately found Lutron to be the big winner. Having many 3-way circuits in my home, these companion switches work flawlessly with my other Lutron Maestro Digital switches (MA-S8AM). Installation was simple as long as you follow the detailed directions and use the Lutron tech support if you’re stuck. Overall, I love how these switches look with my modern style and I’m glad to not see anymore paddle switches.

Bought 2 of these to go along with the Lutron MSCL-OP153M-WH in a 4-way application (3 switches controlling 1 light). Works perfectly if you follow the wiring directions included with the accessory switch and if you know the wiring in your house.

Mine had issues working in a 4 way. sometimes it would work, other times it would act like it did but never turn on the lights. I have not had this problem with other lutron products.

I had purchase a Maestro 8A switch for setting up a 3-way light circuit, so purchased the Maestro companion switch. Easy to install after looking at the diagrams and following the instructions. Just be a little cautious on line vs. load setups if you're revamping previous work to ensure proper installation. The work great and unlike the switch the companion switch does not require a neutral wire for install. Switches look great and function well even with CFL bulbs.

Would be nice if they made it clear what the companion switch is for: that it is merely a line side wired switch in a wired 3-way circuit with the master load switch. Even more frustrating to see that they don't offer a one button wall mountable Pico wireless one-button switch (not dimmer).

Very sensitive. I can be hard to hit it once for my wife. When she presses it often the light turn on and back off very quickly. Other than that it works as expected. I won't install these in customers homes or businesses though because of the switch sensitivity. I would get too many call backs and complaints.

Not sold at home Depot with the compatible device. I had to buy on Amazon so my 4 way switch would work . Once installed it works perfect.

I use this with a timer switch and it works just fine. The installation instructions are very clear.
