...the product seems sturdy enough, and we have at least 12 coats/jackets hanging on it. I decided not to use the pre-drilled slots in the back of the rack but to drill 3 of my own to match with the timber uprights in the stud walling. If you're going to do this as well, ensure you drill from the front, and then finish the hole from the back to reduce the splintering of the veneered surface. Note- this is primarily made of MDF, not wood, but recommended for the £21 paid.

We bought lots of these in various sizes and finishes and some go up (and stay up) better than others. The 8 hook and 3 hook versions were great. We’ve had some trouble with the 5 hook versions which we’ve ended up supporting with command strips.

We've bought two of these, the first last 1.5 years with 6 coats on before coming off the wall, so we bought a replacement, which lasted 4 days...I know it's Amazon basics but you would have hoped it would be able to hang a few coats without breaking.

Unfortunately the wood snapped after having this item for 6 months. Cant find anywhere to ask for refund. Didn't have anything on it you wouldn't expect to see on a coat rack would have been nice otherwise

Really pleased with this coat rack. I was a bit worried that it wouldn’t be sturdy enough, because it isn’t screwed into the wall (you put screws into the wall and the coat rack hooks on to them), but it’s holding 3 winter coats and 2 lighter ones with no problem. It’s easy to install and looks good too.
