Will this also conform to astm standard f2208 for in-ground pools?

This is total crap. I bought it for that reason. I ended up returning it because it BARELY passed inspection, and the alarm turns on for no reason at all. It is useless.

Why won't this work in my in-ground fiberglass pool?

It can. I use it in a in ground concrete pool.

Would this work in a pond? And if so could 2 work on 1 pond?

No. This unit is so sensitive, if a frog jumped in , it would go off.
