Great replacement!
Last year I had my AC and furnace checked out by a licensed tech who worked for a locally well known AC company. He recommended I change my capacitor from the inexpensive U-Line (Carrier OEM brand) capacitor to the Turbo 200 at a cost of about $175 for the capacitor and the minimum labor rate of about $225, bringing the total capacitor replacement cost to just over $400 including tax. I declined his offer because my AC was working fine at the time even though the electrical reading of the capacitor was .2 volts under its recommended minimum limit. I ordered this AmRad Turbo 200 capacitor on Amazon about six months ago for about $35 and I just held it in stock. Fast forward about ten months and today the AC unit outside would not come on. I figured the old U-Line capacitor had likely gone bad. I turned off the thermostat and pulled the fuse (you may have a breaker, my setup is older), the one next to the AC unit. I recommend you also turn off the AC unit power at your main breaker panel just to be extra cautious. I removed the electrical cover on the AC unit, I took a picture of the connections and then dissipated the electrical charge on the old capacitor by using a screwdriver and pair of insulated pliers to connect all three terminals on the capacitor, together, for about ten seconds. Then I disconnected the leads to the old capacitor and connected them to the new one, one by one and to each terminal labeled on the new unit the same as the old unit. You’ll have Fan, Herm and C (or common). Then I unscrewed the mounting band around the old unit and installed the new unit in its place, and retightened the mounting screw. I then replaced the outdoor fuse, turned on the breaker and clicked on the thermostat. Within a minute or so my outdoor AC unit fired up and the air was blowing cold again. I replaced the electric cover on the outdoor unit, reinstalled the four screws on that cover and put away my tools. It’s been working great ever since. This isn’t a difficult job for the average handyman, just be sure to dissipate any electrical charge on your capacitors when working on them. Wear electrically insulated rubber gloves if you feel more comfortable doing so.

Great Product.
I purchased this when an HVAC company wanted to charge me $285.00 to replace my capacitor because it was failing. I told him I would wait a little longer. It failed 3 days later on a Sunday. Ordered this product from, discharged the old product and installed this one. I waited for a while to see if it would hold up. Went through a winter and summer, and my heat pump in still working great. I will order another another to keep a spare on hand. Easy to install (took a picture before old capacitor removal, and discharged it). If you're not used to high voltage do not attempt. Foe me it was a easy purchase and replacement.

Works fine
Swapped out my old capacitor with this new one. Old one was working, but reading low. Keeping the original as backup.

Careful Amazon has mismarked and is shipping incorrect unit
This is undoubtedly a fine unit. However Amazon has them incorrectly tagged in the warehouse and has sent me the 30/5 unit twice now. I had to buy one of the cheaper Chinese ones to get something that would work. Too bad.

Good product quality, works great
Had a capacitor in my AC unit going out of spec after 3 years, causing a slow start condition. This unit is a little thinner than the OE unit, so had to shim the holder, which is not uncommon. Unit fires up quickly now. I appreciate that it is US made as well.
