This was my first time modifying any piece of technology, so I was a little nervous. Thankfully, the manufacturer has very easy to follow step-by-step videos on their YouTube channel, and everything went perfectly! I feel like I could even repeat the process unguided now. I also purchased replacement grips and buttons from this company and am equally satisfied.The replacement components have a satisfying, soft touch finish, and by using what looks like a high quality hydrographic printing process, the pattern is incredibly smooth and consistent, unlike some skins with clearly discernable droplets in their print.The color is a little warmer in tone than the Amazon product pictures, but I don't mind.I also appreciated the inclusion of extra screws, though thankfully I managed to keep track of the original ones while disassembling the controller, so I didn't need them.It feels and works superbly, but I will update my review should I encounter issues with continued use.As mentioned before, the buttons and grips in my pictures were purchased separately.

I like these mods for the Pro Controllers. The texture feels nice and the prints look great. Only thing of mention is some of the print ended as gunk on the inside of the controller but it really has no impact on the exterior appearance of the shell. The only downside is that you need to be careful with switching out the shells because you could strip screws or ruin one of the ribbon cables if not careful. There are videos online about how to make the swap so watch one of those to get an idea of what goes into doing the mod.

Took maybe an hour to install everything if that and their YouTube videos were very easy to follow. I was able to replace everything without touching the ribbon cable and I'd advise not removing it if you can. It came with screwdrivers and replacement screws. I ended up not needing the extra screws but it was nice if I had accidentally stripped them. I really like how soft the top and bottom shell are and the color goes well with the purple blue color I got for the replacement buttons and grips. Please note I purchased the grip, shell, and buttons separately and they did not all come together.

I'll be the first to admit I had a bit too much fun with this controller... But I couldn't be happier with the outcome! The main plastic plate has a really nice feel to it and I haven't noticed any sort of paint wearing or chipping yet so it's looking great even months later!The installing can be a little scary, but so long as you are careful there should me no issues. They even give you extra screws so if you mess up it's no problem. Plus, there are so many great YouTube videos you can find to show you exactly how to do it! If you want a cool way to impress your friends, I would definitely recommend this!

Looks great and matches my modified Switch since this is made by the same company. You’d think it would be easy to install—unscrew the original front and back Pro controller case and put the new pieces on. Unfortunately, it’s a lot more complicated, since there are a lot of screws to remove and replace. The product itself is good quality and it’s not their fault that Nintendo made it so complex to change a front and back plate. Also note the wood grain is plastic not real wood, which I knew ahead of time, but it does look good.

I picked up several joycons when a local retailer had them for $29 a pair. I wasn’t a fan of the pink and green combo, so I looked at shell replacements. After done research, I chose extremerate brand and was very pleased. I ended up buying the wood grain pattern in both shell and back plate replacement. It’s been a year and it’s held up well as my daily switch for on the go.I decided to get the pro controller wood pattern to match. It’s a perfect fit and match. My only wish is that they would have had the full package to include the grip covers in wood as well.

Great look and feel. If you don’t like opening up controllers or electronics, it may not be for you. You just need to be able to redo some screws and reconnect a ribbon cable.

I was looking for something to look more organic for a Zelda feel that still had all the functions of a Pro Controller. A new shell was the answer and wow!!! It was super easy to install and although it’s not squishy, it is soft. In the sense that it feels matte. Definitely recommend eXtremeRate Shells and other accessories!!!!

På ett billigt sätt fick jag en mycket trevligare kontroll till mitt Switch. Enkel att montera och bra att mejslar medföljde.

Tja was soll ich sagen, bin total begeistert 🤩. Hab mir auf YouTube das Video angeschaut und es auch innerhalb einer Stunde geschafft 👍🏻... die Qualität ist super & alles schließt wunderbar ab (keine überstehende Kanten oder Ritzen), das Gefühl in der Hand ist "seidig" & die Farbe ist sogar noch schöner als auf den Produktfotos. Wer seinen geliebten Controller individualisieren möchte & keine Scheu hat ihn aufzuschrauben (Achtung! Garantieverlust ☝🏻️), ist bei ExtremeRate gut aufgehoben. Das mitgelieferte Werkzeug ist nicht das beste, reicht aber vollkommen aus (man braucht noch eine Pingzette die nicht beiliegt). Von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung!!!

Very VERY difficult to install, screwdrivers provided are very poor quality and strip the screws so I would recommend to get a high quality one first before attempting to install. However once installed the product looks great and functions perfectly
