Oceanic VTX OLED Complete Scuba Computer with Transmitter

Just returned dive trip to Grand Cayman. Sorry to say that I WAS NOT impressed with this PC. I wanted to upgrade to a hose less computer for obvious reasons, but I'm not really sure this was the right one. The biggest problem I had was the ability to read it. Although I was diving an average of 50 to 70 feet, the glare was causing inability to read the numbers. I had to tilt my wrist in different directions to see it. The only time it was really clear was diving through caverns where ambient light was decreased. I turndd it up to 100%, but not only did that NOT to improve visualizing, buy also draineed the battery further. After 2 dives I needed to change the battery. After that I was concerned for the remaining dives, so I re-attached my Oceanic Plus to avoid any mishaps. So over all buying this computer defeated the purpose to go hoseless. I was reviewing my log today and had to change the battery once again so I could turn it on. The other major issue was that I lost connection several times and had to place my arm above my head to regain connection. If I had not had a back up computer, I may have really freaked out . It seem to be easy enough to set up and maneuver through the screens, but I didn't want to drain the battery any further. Apparently at 80%, the manual claims you can dive up to 20 hrs. Not really sure if this an accurate number. I do wish the size was larger. Compared to a few other computers within the dive group, this was not even close to the clarity of theirs. I will be returning this computer and put the cost toward a different brand. I may need to pay a little more, but it will be worth it in the long run.8/10/18. What a joke. Returned item to Dealer: DiveCatelog. Was charged a 50% restocking fee ($310). WOW. I would have kept the junk computer if I had been informed that. Never had issues with Amazon before. Guess if you purchase from this company make sure you are ready to lose half your money in case you need to return something. The item was in excellent condition when returned. Perhaps this is how the company stays in business by charging enormous fees and their less then perfect crappy merchandise.

I really like this dive computer on the way in which it calculates everything for you and how it logs your dives into the diver log via the Bluetooth. The Bluetooth on this unit works really well, it only takes about 15 seconds to sync it to your phone and the only thing you have to enter is the location. The only bad thing I can say about this unit is, that it is really hard to see the display on the surface and in the water in shallower depths if the water is really clear because of the bright conditions and yes I had the on the surface brightness set at 100% and the under water Brightness set at 60% which is max for both. Everthing on this computer is easy to use and really needs no instructions and I still would recommend it.

I took this watch on at least five dives so far. Haven't had any problems with Bluetooth connectivity. The watch is easy to navigate however, the app is very basic and have minor issues. Overall great dive watch for the price paid.

Great computer, simple overall intuitive user interface, having a color display is great (from status okay=green, to not so okay=yellow, to unhappy= red)c readability underwater is great, 4 gases, let's you store your name/contact info. Low lights are battery needs frequent replacement (depending on display settings maybe every 20 dives), the display is not well readable in daylight, my display showed problems after 9 months (some lines failed).In summary I do like the computer and recommend it.

In the beginning when it worked very easy to read but after the second dive the display stopped working. Could not read the display.

Great dive computer only issue I had was both batteries shipped with item had to be changed before dives. Integrated air pressure is my favorite I love slim lining my gear.

Used the one day in hawaii. After on the surface after the second dive. It said I was going down (while I sat on the boat). It went “down” to 350 ft, then turned off an NEVER turned back on.

Hard to see in sunlight but works really great.
