Lamps are sleek, modern looking. They're sitting on our bedroom dresser and provide nice ambient lighting. Not strong enough to read by, but more than enough to get around the room.General comments (You decide if they're good, bad or indifferent):-It is a set of two lamps and shades, shipped in one box.-The switch is NOT on the socket. It's on the cord, about a foot from the lamp base.-The clear parts are plastic. Very clean and crisp, but not glass.-The lamp is rated 40 watts, not the usual 60. I'm GUESSING this is a current limitation (330 mA) which would mean 60 watt equivalent led bulbs are fine. That's what we're using and no smoke yet. If anyone knows different please comment FAST. Thanks.-The shade attaches to the socket. It does not clip to the top of the bulb. So flourescent, flame, etc. bulbs should be ok.- (Oops) After several minutes of trying to press fit the shade onto the socket I realized there is a ring on the socket that unscrews. You put the shade on the socket then screw the ring back on. That's the only assembly hitch - heck, that's the only assembly - but a slip of paper mentioning the ring would have been nice.Overall - A very nice lamp. Would gift or buy again.

These really added so much to my bedroom. The crystal is gorgeous. They make my bedroom look so much more sophisticated. The heavy duty flip switch (located about a foot down from the lamp on the cord) was unusual but not difficult to use. The drum shade added just enough of a modern touch. Very, very nice.

I love these lamps!! They are absolutely beautiful! I wondered if we’d like the switch on the cord and not on the actual lamp. We LOVE it! It’s perfect!No problems with shipping or damaged items!

Bulbs did not come with the lamps. They look gorgeous. The only thing that made us almost want to return it was the fact that the light switch is on the cord and it takes a little fumbling to find it to turn it on/off. Compared to other lamps where you just pull a cord, this is a little less user friendly. However it looks beautiful.

First, I didn't realize the lamp I was getting was used, so that's on me. That said, there isn't really anything wrong with the lamp, meaning even though it is "used" it isn't/wasn't damaged.Now, the lamp base is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and will fit in with the decor in my bedroom. I really love it. But that is where the good news ends.The bad news: 1) The harp is too short, and 2) the shade needs to be assembled (say, what?!?).So, I had to add the light bulb BEFORE attaching the harp, shade, and finial. Unfortunately, I realize that until I had already added the harp, so had to remove and then add the bulb. Once the bulb was in, there is still nearly ZERO clearance. I will be looking for a slightly taller harp..Now, for the shade. I have to say, it was a real shocker finding the shade rolled up (that's just weird), along with the two rings which would serve as the top and bottom of the shade. What the heck? While assembly is easy enough, in MY opinion, the quality is terrible. The stitching on the velcro seam is sub-par (suspect tension issue as the stitching is NOT nice and clean) . That and just the fact that the shade needs to be assembled leaves me befuddled, underwhelmed, and a little annoyed. However, given the price, for two lamps, I suppose the value is good, but I'll still be looking for a different (already assembled) shade.Bottom line: the lamps ARE beautiful, but they do have some quirks.

Easy to assemble, value for the money

These lamps are even more beautiful in person! Well made, easy to assemble, and absolutely stunning! The crystal is so beautiful and adds a touch of elegance to my living room. LOVE!
