My 5th juicer, very happy
This is my 5th juicer. I've worn out a Juiceman junior, and a Juiceman junior pro, each of which gave me about 2 years of daily juicing before the same plastic piece broke (not replaceable). Then I briefly had a Jack LaLane which I promptly gave away because it was cumbersome and not the easiest to take apart and clean. Then I moved to England where I had a beast of a British juicer that ran on a 220 current. It would eat a hammer if you let it. Great machine, but I could not bring it back with me.So, now back in the US and in need of a juicer. I'd never heard of L'Equipe before, but it hit my price point and had good reviews, along with a Breville and a T-fal juicer. So it was a decision between the 3. I did not consider the Juiceman again because a) the same part breaks b) after using other juicers I realized how much pulp the Juiceman lets into the juice c) low yield of the Juiceman. So trying to decide between the Breville, T-fal and L'Equipe, which all have good reviews, I went to their websites and that made up my mind. Despite having a French sounding name, L'Equipe is an American company and the juicer is MADE IN THE USA, major selling point for me. Also checking out the website, I saw that they are a "wellness" company, making products that support a healthy lifestyles. So, I like that too. But, does the thing work?Yes. Of the five juicers I have owned this is clearly the best:1. Easy to clean. Particularly the basket. It comes clean much easier than any other I've used, including juicers of friends and family.2. No pulp in the juice, very smooth.3. Great yield. Takes fewer carrots than any of my other juicers.4. Plenty of power. It has chewed up beets, collards, carrots, big hunks of ginger, no problem.I've had the juicer for a week now (daily use) and I have found only one drawback. It does not come with a clever collection cup. The last juicer I had had a collection cup with a lid so that the spout went down into the cup and was covered, no splash. This juicer has no such ingenious contraption and the juice splatters pretty good as it comes out of the spout. It is an easy fix though, just hold your hand over the spout or drape a kitchen towel over it as you juice to eliminate splatters.Overall, I really like this machine and heartily recommend it.Caveat for anyone new to juicing:I say "easy to clean," but realize that this is a relative term. ALL juicers are a bit of a pain in ass to clean. It will take a few minutes no matter what brand you have. It is just that some juicers are a lot more tedious than others. This cleaning thing is (my opinion) what prevents a lot of people from developing a good juicing habit. It kept me from it for a long time. But once I committed to daily juicing, daily practice allowed me to get good at it and streamline the process. Now I can make a juice and be cleaned up in just a few minutes. At first juicing is a chore. But if you are new, Hang In There! You'll figure out tricks, it gets a lot easier and faster, and . . .It IS worth it :)UPDATE JUNE 9 2014:The juicer is still going strong. No complaints. 7 months of frequent usage and I still would recommend the machine :)

It was easy to get set up and use within minutes
I bought this juicer for my sister who has recently been diagnosed with HER2 breast cancer that has metastasized to her liver. She needs more condensed nutrition (especially since the chemo produced mouth sores), so I thought this would help her. I unpackaged the juicer to try it out myself before sending it on to her. The juicer was well packed. It was easy to get set up and use within minutes. I had purchased some organic vegetables to juice, so I was ready when it arrived. I juiced some carrots and cucumbers, because those two vegetables are highly recommended for their cancer fighting properties. It took 7 average sized carrots to make 1 cup of juice. The carrot juice didn't froth up very much and was 'clear', i.e. there didn't seem to be any pulp in the juice. I added enough cucumber juice (2 large cucumbers) to make another cup of juice and mixed them together. It was actually quite tasty. I could definitely drink that on a regular basis. I made a fruit juice using apples, white grapes, pears, blueberries and strawberries that was also tasty. The fruit juice did seem to have more pulp in it than the vegetable juice. Putting a plastic bag in the pulp catcher made the clean up so much easier! The pulp does collect up on the inside of the plastic chute just a bit, but is easily cleaned out. I cut up the veggies/fruit fairly minimally to fit into the juicer and applied firm, but not hard pressure to get the juice flowing. The receptacle that you place your produce in is made of metal and seems very durable. The 10 year warranty is a testament to how well it is made. It is not too noisy, which is also a plus. I am planning on purchasing this same unit to keep for myself!

No regrets!
Love this juicer...10 year warranty, stainless steel where juice is made, easy to clean, use, store, cost effective and makes great tasting juice!!! It may waste a little more than other juicers I don't know but it is a juicer I use. We compost our pulp and may try to use in soups, etc in the future. I am extremely busy with work and I feel this is a great juicer for me because I don't have time to clean, prepare, take apart complicated juicers. I use a tall GLASS to collect the juice and have no problems with splattering. I will recommend to others. Made in Korea , not the USA as I originally thought. It is a good entry juicer to try and make sure juicing is for you.

The speed demon juicer at a great price! This is awesome for a first time ...
The speed demon juicer at a great price! This is awesome for a first time juicer. Very easy to use and not too difficult to clean. Use this is you need to make large quantities of juice in a short period of time. The con of this type of juicer is that it won't juicer greens very well. Also the plup still contains plenty of juice left in it.Still with that flaw, I would enjoy juicing an entire field of carrots and beers with no issue.Get this juicer if you want to juice mainly hard root vegetables. It will do great!Don't get this is you want to juice soft greens like spinach, parsley, ect..

Very disappointed. Was recommended by a well known person online ...
May be low priced, but you get what you pay for. Very disappointed. Was recommended by a well known person online who beat cancer, absolutely would NOT recommend this juicer to anyone, especially not someone trying to fight cancer. The pulp is very very wet, the juicer is noisy, the way the stainless steel juice container is, you lose juice in there too. Added to all this is the fact this company makes YOU pay for return shipping, and will only take back a juicer if it isn't used. How do you know if it even works without using it? So....read the reviews hopefully. Next time I will read more. Adding mine because I'm quite dissatisfied.
