Works beautifully.
This installed in about ten easy minutes and works like a charm. I was expecting it to have a plastic feel to it, but it feels more like sturdy nylon composite. The handle pushes down smoothly to open, and the latch snaps securely when closed. I don’t usually write product reviews, but this product exceeded my expectations.

Great latch
This latch was easy to install - about 5 minutes and it was ready to use. And it's very sturdy.

Good value, working solution. Wish there was something better.
The media could not be loaded. We just installed this onto our 10-year old chain link fence. It took 5 minutes to install and adjust. It is performing well but the materials don’t feel as sturdy as I’d like . There is too much give in the plastic and I think I’ll need to replace it each year. Also, the thin plastic cap on the rod where you push down isn’t a great design. It digs into my 4-year son’s hand already as he opens the gate. It should be slightly wider for the amount of push-force required. Overall, this will get the job done and is a good value for the money.I combined this with an effective spring kit on the hinge side of the gate. It’s an easy to install, affordable system.

Do you want to keep kids out of your pool area? Do you want to keep the in laws out of your yard? Do you want to confuse everyone when you explain how to use the new latch? This is perfect! I am very happy with the four I bought. Does exactly what I needed it to do!

Quick, Simple, Easy!
Installed this product in under 10 minutes. Held very strong and is reliable for pool gates or even chain link fence gates as an alternative to the standard gate latch.

Safe and Convenient
This latch is everything we need to keep our toddler safe without grief or hassle. It's light weight, was sy to install, and a practice devise for your chain link gate. We cut added a tennis ball on the top of the handle to soften the handle and it's actually faster and easier than the original gate latch. On top of that my little one can't slip out the gate and out of the yard.

Missing parts
Works fine but came with missing hardware leaving me to scramble to find replacement bolts and nuts to mount it.

5 stars as soon as they make a metal/steel version
I was looking for an added layer of security to keep our young kids out of the pool area. We are planning on using other modalities along with this device including alarms. Let me first say this. Clearly, this device is not designed to last forever. There are portions made of plastic which I can only imagine will weaken with time. I do however think it will be a huge deterrent and make it extra difficult for my kids to access the pool alone. As far as installation, the gaps and placement of the chain link components will definitely come into play. It is quite possible you will need to make some minor adjustments to your existing gate. When and IF your gate has these proper gaps, installation is quite simple and should take less than 15 minutes or so. The majority of this time will be spent figuring out the mechanism itself. One thing I like about this device is that when the gate is closed, it automatically clicks securely and will require actuation of the mechanism to open again. We have two gates and so I am about to order another one. Last, I want to stress that this should probably be thought of as one layer of security. Barring parental guidance and me giving unsolicited advice, I do think it is also necessary to have alarms and frequent scare-the-goodness out of your kids conversations.Lord, please keep my kid safe.
