I have had my Simple Modern water bottle for almost two years now. It's one of the best purchases I've ever made, but that's a different review for a different time. However, at almost two years in and approximately 1,005,883 drops on its plastic lid, it was time to go ahead and replace the lid. This lid is perfect! It is leak-proof and I have had no issues with drinking out of it. Plus it came with two straws (one backup) and a brush!

February 2024- I received my Simply Modern thermos 5 yrs ago from a cousin. I LOVE it except for the base which doesn’t fit in a car cupholder and the opening because who like getting a face full of ice or water while taking a drink when driving and you hit a bump?For the past 5 years I have thought that I had a 32 oz thermos. I have tried figuring out over the years if I can find a different lid for it that has a straw or something similar.A few weeks ago a coworkers figured out mine was actually a 40 oz (not 32) and with that new knowledge I began to search again and actually had luck and found out the exact model of my 40 oz thermos! I was able to find this lid and order it and it fits my thermos perfectly!It’s a little snug but it for sure does NOT leak. It takes a little force to unscrew it with it’s snugness but it’s better then it possibly leaking. 🙂 I decided to go with the three pack so I could rotate through the lids but my preferred lid is the straw because I stay better hydrated that way.I would be even happier if there was a 2 pack of flip lids with 3 straws. I love Simple Modern water bottles. We have several different sizes of the Summit line, and this three-pack of different lids gives a great variety of options to use for different needs. The color is exactly as pictured online, and matches the graphite bottle perfectly. The straw lid is great--we have had no leaks at all, and it is easy to drink from. Some straw lids create so much suction you have to unscrew the cap to drink. That is not the case with this straw lid. Because the outside of the straw part that you drink from is not silicone, there is not as much issue with mold/mildew that you can't clean. We clean all of our lids/bottles frequently, using brushes made for getting inside the small crevices and straws, so we haven't experienced problems with mildew at this point. The chug lid is nice for drinking larger amounts at once, but it is a slightly smaller hole so you don't dump liquid all over yourself. The lid also sort of snaps back, so it is held back while you drink, and doesn't hit you in the nose. The flip lid is nice for someone who prefers to sip a drink. All three lids have great carrying handles. If I would change anything at all, I would say perhaps to have the handles be hinged so they could go straight up or fold down, but adding a hinge also provides a stress point that could allow for breakage more easily. Overall, we are very pleased with all of these lids, and would definitely purchase again.

I got this18oz summit bottle from Target, but it came with a lid that had the straw. I hate those because they’re hard to clean and can get dirty in the nooks and crannies. This lid fits perfectly and leak proof! Love it!!! Color matches better even better in my opinion.

I love how easy this cap fits on my water bottle, and how easy it is to clean. I don't like that the handle doesn't move. Its hard to carry a water bottle with the handle sticking out 90 degrees. Not impossible, just akward

I have a 32 oz bottle and when I bought it, I bought it with a push button lid and i loved it. I’ve had it for about a year, & then last week I accidentally drove away with my water bottle on the roof of my car lol. It banged off the car onto the ground & rolled down a little hill & hit the curb. When I got the bottle, all was fine, but there was a little leak in the lid when it would fall over or when I’d shake it, so I got the new lid. All this is to say, these bottles and these lids are such high quality & so durable! Love these

I love this lid!! Its the best of both worlds, big water bottle but can drink like a regular tumbler. And its PINK! My favorite pink to be honest.My Summit is the 32oz incase you need reference.ALSO: if you take the straw out, the lid does become leak proof/spill proof. The straw creates an opening that some water can spill out of. Just incase anyone says that it leaks. Unless it is broken, the lid without a straw does NOT leak. Once the straw is in the lid, water/liquid can escape.

All covers fit my tumbler. Looks better than the original pink mouth. Matches the black sleeve I bought from SM here at Amazon.

it is fiddly to close lid as the locking mechanism can move around when it is open. mouth opening is pretty small too so i dont think it is a very good design - not upto SM normal standards
