Necessity is the mother of invention
I bought this to try and catch the groundhog that had dug a burrow under my porch. I never saw it in the yard and knew that I only had a small window when it emerged from the burrow and went off into a nearby field. It escaped from my have a heart trap and then would never be tempted into it again. After installing this motion detector in the spot where the varmint scooted out from under my porch lattice, within a day I got the notification of movement in my phone, ran to the window, and saw the groundhog moving across the yard. Dispatched in short order, say no more.

Nice sound (only 1) but slow to alert
I think that this has a nice sound, which is one thing I was after, as many business alert bells have horrible chimes or "greetings" and hardly ever a simple and somewhat quiet bell. Although there is only one bell option, this one is nice. In addition the bell only goes off every 1 minute - as to not send too many alerts. This is okay, but it would be nice to be able to change this interval based on your preference. This is quite slow to send an alert for my purposes. I use it at my business when I am in the backroom and it is 5-10 seconds slower than my other alarm that I planned to replace. If I was using this at my home to alert someone had crossed into my yard or I didn't mind that it wasn't "instant" it would be okay, but 5-10 seconds can be a long lag in a business setting.

motion sensor delay time
this device does everything that is designed to do. The 4 stars rating are due to the fact that the response time between sensing infrared objects is rather slow and the sensor only responds to repeated obstructions after a few minutes of delay( not seconds...minutes). to explain this effect better, if You walk in front of the device twice; it will only respon to the first walk in front of it, it may take up to 5-10 walks inf front of the sensor in order to sense the following motion (or rather, the infrared object)other than that, its a beautiful addition to an alarm system

Great product, couldnt be better than this
It is a great product for me.So i bought cameras that have 10vdays recording, but motion sensor on them was not PIR, and it was sending alarms for movement of leaves, and i was getting so many false alarms every minute, i had to turn notifications off. I wanted pir motion sensor that sends notifications so i can go back and look on my camera at that time. This product is great. It detects only movement that i am interested in, when someone moves around. It is connected to my phone via wifi.Every time someone moves around i get notification. It is very easy to install. I will highly recommend it. However I am not sure how long battery will last, i hope atleast 6 months, if it does then this product is 6 star.

Great inside protection
We have an out of state family home that we share with other family members and we have had the Wasserstein Smart Motion Sensor installed for several weeks, it was easy to set up and use. It lets us know quickly if anyone has entered the building, we can then pull up the cameras and see who has entered the house and if they were suppose to or not. We did not want a camera inside but we wanted detection inside. We can now turn the detection on all of our exterior cameras down so cats, raccoons, and other animals that roam around at night will not cause the detection alarms to go off. Works quicker than most alarm companies! Would buy again!

Works (worked) perfectly. (for 10 months)
Update: October 2020Worked well for about 10 months on one set of batteries. It has gone through 3 sets of batteries in the past 2 weeks. 123A batteries are too expensive to waste. This motion alert was simple to install and it works perfectly. I placed this one in my driveway area, but I plan on buying more for my yard.It has about a 4 second lag of notifying my cell phone, but that still gives me a few seconds of time before my camera notifications alert me.I don't think it's meant for outside use, but I made a little roof over it using an old license plate, so it stays dry.

Works!
I was skeptical about this little thing working. Someone asked, "Can you switch it off". You just turn off the notifications on your phone... No on/off switch on the device.Took about five minutes to install the app, connect to wifi, drill two holes and put up the detector. No power cable, no network cable. And, wait for it, it is seriously cute looking. It is working with a distance of 5 metres. The alerts to my phone are within seconds. Just works. I used it to cover an area that my camera doesn't see.Now that Google are buying up the camera companies and forcing people into costly subscription fees (ADT cameras and Nest, yes, Nest , the people who do smoke alarms and thermostats), this device does not have any hidden re-occurring fees.✔ No expensive hub or subscription needed (Great!)✔ Working range: distance of 5m and horizontal detection angle of 100 degrees (I've tested this and it works)✔ Push notifications via the Wasserstein App (within seconds but wish the squirrel on my terrace would lose some weight and not trip off the camera!)✔ Easy setup installation (yes, install the iphone app and away you go)✔ Uses advanced PIR technology (seems to work)Only downside is that the detection bit that is connected using magnets, and is easily moved to direct the PIR in the direction you want, can easily be stolen. So you need to think about where you put it, and that thieves would have a hard time getting to it.I would like it to come in more colours - so you can put it somewhere and have it blend in to survive. Like evolution of species... like a camelion.

Poor Chinese quality masquerading as German and the app works 70% of the time.
I have bought three of these. All came in crumpled packaging and without the fixings that appear in the ad. The Wstein phone app shows the charge left in the battery and two were only half charged - All in all it looked like I had received previous customers returns and so I sent them back. The third I have kept, but after just a few days the PIR only works intermittently. On a little closer inspection, Wasserstein, is a Chinese business that has given itself a German name.Having had these a few months, they work 70% of the time - with the activation alerts not coming through, but for low cost home use they are reasonable value for money.

Great Little Thing
Very impressed with how it works. Easy to set up if you follow the instructions.Build quality is good except it does say 'for monitoring your drive'. I would therefor expect that it would have been waterproof but it clearly isn't. As it doesn't work through glass if it is to monitor an outside space you need to mount it in the dry. Good luck in this country.

It works
Had a small issue connecting it to the WiFi, consulted the manual and haven't had any other problems. My experience with it has been quite good it does what it says, detects motion and sends you a notification.
