Studio One 3 Professional Creative Music Production Environment (License Code + Quick Start)

One of the immediate draws as it regards my choice was that there were many features that I had in my old DAW that wer similar enough for me to begin using Studio One immediately. Further noted was the fact that there were so many videos explaining how to use the software. Studio engineer Dave V. has a whole series of vids which he makes easy to understand and can be viewed at HomeRecordingMadeEasy.com. I highly recommend these videos. Dave says Studio One 3 and 4 are the most stable programs he has ever used and he is conversant with all the pro studio software like Pro Tools and Live. I really like this software and you won't be disappointed going with Studio One especially when it comes to the price comparisons.

I absolutely love this recording software! I purchased it because the recording studio I go to uses the same DAW. Now I work on most of my stuff at home and then send the studio the song file when I need to make a trip there. Flawless. I use Native Instruments with it.

I've had the most difficult time trying to download this order,,,,, I bought it several weeks ago and STILL have not got it downloaded to my computer. If I would have known downloading was going to be so difficult I would have never ordered the download version. I would much rather have the box version.

Its good but it does not allow you to use mp3 files then i got a mp3 converter from the website for 9$ and i cant use it cuz i dont know how cuz it didnt come with instructions. Also it didnt recognize my mic so i had to buy a new cable. Alot of work. I will update once i can actually use it. But set up is awfully difficult.

I loved Cakewalk back in the ‘90s, but Studio One is jaw dropping. Many operators are a simple drag and drop. The UI is outstanding (probably due to its OSX history). Only negatives are the missing features that goad you into an upgrade to the pro version, and the inept built-in manual mechamic (can’t even search within a page).

So, I think this software is great. User friendly, if you know what you are doing. If not, its easy to figure it out by pushing buttons. I have been having issues with it crackling and popping when I record or even play music, and it will freeze after a while of this happening. I bought a computer just for this program, with an i7 processor, powerful enough to handle this I would think, but it pops and freezes still. Nobody can figure out why or how to fix it. So, I really really recommend this software, but check your system requirements before purchasing it. If it were not for that small issue, I would rate it a full five stars.

Despite the great things about StudioOne, there are two unjustifiable oversights in Artist:1. Not allowing the use of 3rd party VST plugins in a purchased program.2. No MP3 or FLAC options for mix down.With that being said, the interface is great and the program runs smoothly. I actually prefer StudioOne to other DAWS, but don't waste your money on Artist. If your budget is the $100-$150 range and you need full functionality, this isn't the best option. If you can spring the extra cash for the above features (they're available as paid "add ons" 😡,) or the Pro version, this DAW can serve you well.

The only thing I do not like is that it doesn't recognize 3rd party plugins. Everything else is good, though and easy to use. Lot's of tutorials on the internet.

Studio one 3 is a great DAW for both newbies and pros. It is set up in a logical, and easy to understand way, and lots of great resources are available for any technical issues. Has lots of great sound banks, and hundreds of different effects, making this DAW great for any genre of music
