Highly recommend you upgrade your system, and get remote management.
I had the original Aqualink RS-20 and the OneTouch console stopped working. I looked online and found that the replacement part was almost $600 USD, come-on its got to cost $30 - $40 to build. I found this upgrade board for the same price, and it offers iPhone and web management, so I decided to ditch the crappy old (expensive) physical OneTouch console.I asked a local pool maintenance company for quote to install this kind of device, they wanted $1,200 USD. Hah, crazy I thought, no way this will take more than couple hours to install. This was a very simple install, start to finish in less than 1 hour, and installed by myself. Of course, safety is most important and you should turn off the power at the breaker; use power sensor to verify power is not being delivered to system before starting work.My method was to unscrew the old board and remove, but leave all connections and then begin moving the connections to the new board. Last step was to connect the iAqualink WiFi controller to system, and fasten to location where WiFi signal would be strong enough. I tested the WiFi signal with my iPhone at the location first, testing the Internet as well, to make sure the iAqualink WiFi would get good connection. I turned the power back on at the breaker box and went back to where the iAqualink WiFi is located. Turning to my iPhone I connected to the "iAqualink 2.0" hotspot and it then showed me the WiFi hotspots it detected. I selected the WiFi hotspot I wanted it to use, added the password, and the system was connected to Web as indicated by green LED. I took a photo of the device number and then went to my computer to setup the iAqualink system through web.The interface for configuration is not that easy to figure out, but after a little time of clicking through the interface I learned how to manage. This will probably be the most difficult part for a non-techie person.

IT Tech review
I work in a Data Center assumed it was easy. I received the unit, connected to my router wifi and noted the mac address and the ip. I was able to ping the ip from a PC on my Wifi network. setup accounts online and attempted to device to my account, failed, failed, failed. open switch to wired and reset. no go. still able to see the unit on my wifi and ping to it. No web access to the unit, most likely locked down. Since no remote control came with package (it should as others on amazon do). Randomly my pool tech was able to connect the device and now i have limited programming through iphone app only. resorted to the remote in the house to schedule. Emailed Zodiac and still waiting for a response from them. I replaced two pumps and this was an add on (an expensive add on). I am tech and I am not even sure this technology is mature enough to give you value for the buck, if Zodiac steps up and offered a firmware upgrade or a newer product replace since this unit may have had a shelve life. We install switches / routers all day long but always burn new firmware before we go online. Stay tuned to see if this gets resolved, if not its 600.+ wasted. But hey the pumps work :) and i dont have to buy fish for my pond, its now a pool again.

Great upgrade to my pool system!
I had initially purchased this because my controller in the house would lose its settings with every brown out or blackout (which happens frequently living along the GulfCoast). This was causing my pumps to not operate properly and burn up.The whole thing took about an hour to install. You can connect to it via Ethernet cable or WiFi. (You will need one or the other by the pool pump for this to work.) Now there are no issues with the settings and I can operate it remotely. If it’s winter and I want to hop in the jacuzzi with the wife after a night out to dinner, I can turn it on from the resturant and have it all heated up by the time I get home.

Easy to install; great to use
This was absolutely fantastic and easy to install. My husband is the hardware engineer and I'm the software analyst so together we installed this quickly. The only thing that wasn't quite obvious was in the new board where the iAqualink cable should plug into. It goes to the FIRST red 4 wire connector. With the new board there are two of them side by side. The other great thing that id everything you do on the mobile app immediately updates to our indoor Jandylink controller. And there is a web interface for all of the controls too. By the way, we had the original Aqualink RS4 that this kit worked to update perfectly.

WARNING: Requires system firmware Rev R or newer. Will not work on older Rev firmware.
WARNING!I bought this and discovered that it is NOT REVERSE COMPATIBLE with existing components that have a firmware older than Rev R.There is no warning in the description about this. Our ALL BUTTON with older Rev firmware will not function with this IAquaLink.Pool Supply Warehouse refused to refund 100% of our money and kept $120 as a "restocking fee."Disassemble all components of your system to ensure that their Firmware Rev is newer than R.WARNING.

Website goes down every so often.
Great product when it's connected to the webpart of zodiac servers. I've see it be down for 1 or 2 days at the time, but you can still get to it via the app. Easy install. I use the eero system for my wireless at my home and it goes well with this.I asked zodiac once about their site being down but never got an answer on the issue. However it's super awesome to start the hottub from work. Highly recommended feature to control your pool.

Perfect DIY for the pool owner who wants to add remote automation to your pool
Great price and exceptional performance. Very easy to install and get connected. I think it took me less than 1 hour. The hardest part is getting the program/schedules all setup but even that was pretty easy. I bought this for remote pool control and monitoring as well control of my Intelliflo variable speed pump.

Easier than it looks.
I can't believe I waited so long to install this. Literally took around an hour after preparing with youtube videos, reading other reviews, and noting the programming of the old board. It works great. Totally took pool operation into the 21st century, but loses a star for no Alexa/Google Assistant skill integration yet. Come on Jandy! Hayward and Pentair have had theirs ready for a while now. What's taking so long?
