To quote another review, it sucks!
So if you want an occasional vacuum cleaner that uses your existing batteries then this should be fine.As for a professional tool to capture dust whilst working then I'd say try something else. The filter clogs really quickly and that makes the suction worse and the dust capture chamber is far too small.I have ordered the DeWalt DCV501LN-XJ to try as an alternative, watch out for my review of that.

Could be better for the price
Doesn’t have that suction power, only for minor works, plus drains battery quick 18v 5amp

No useful suction power whatsoever - But it is very easy to use!
I purchased this for use in the workshop, on the plane, hoping it would prevent mess on small jobs. It is completely useless. There is no suction power to speak of. I'd like to list the pros and cons but there are no pros to be found, unless "It is yellow" counts.A very expensive piece of junk and a real shame that DeWalt thought it good enough. I have never been disappointed by DeWalt gear before, so this is a disappointing first!Oh! There is a pro! It is VERY easy to use!

One of the worst DeWalt tools ever...
Good looking small hoover, very light, cordless, but also without any suction power, especially after one - two uses. Filter is hard to clean, hose is permanently stuck to the hoover, so if anything block it inside, it is also hard to clean it. Unfortunately this is one of the worst DeWalt tools I've ever bought. Not recommend it at all. In simple words - waste of your time and money.
