This is my favorite version of these stories growing up and I really missed it. Just so I was surprised to see it on Amazon for less than $10. I am now able to relive my childhood age with the same cartoon monkeys and alligators that I remember so fondly

Each story has one or more morals. For the most part, many morals are good. others not so much. For example, The Crows and the Black Snake story seems to encourage a person to enlist someone powerful to rid yourself of a nuisance. The trickery that the crows use to achieve the results may be questionable for some children. Be sure to consider the story's impact before reading it to a child.

this book was delivered in perfect condition. I could not even tell that it was used and what a great price. My grandson loves it. He has read it twice so far.

Binding and overall quality of the book was just fine. The Cover was from the original publication that came out decades ago but all the layout and especially the illustrations in the book were changed from the beautiful original illustrations by the brilliant illustrator Anil Vyas - Such a tragedy! That was the whole magic of the original book and that's what makes any children's book meaningful to a child - it's illustrations! The new ones are utterly ordinary at best. Myopic and Senseless decisions to change the illustrations that must have been taken at some point by short-sighted leadership at the publishers - Children's Book Trust. I hope they have another look at the original and see the enormity of their mistake!

Nice book. Got it for Rs.133. The mrp on the book is Rs 170. It has got good stories with nice pictures. It would have been nice if the moral of the story was mentioned at the end of each story.

Excellent quality. Nicely selected stories with beautiful illustrations. Old school hard binding. Good source of stories to read to my 4 year old. Got at 145/- shipped.
