its a nice board, once you compile the grbl firmware and load it on your machine then you should be good to go. There are a few issues that I personally had with the board though.1] The X limit and Z limit on the silk screen seems to be incorrect so if you wire it according to the board it will not work like that2] If you are building a custom machine ESPECIALLY a COREXY machine please read this, the board is based on an Arduino Nano and has the Nano bootloader on it. In order to get it to work on this board you will need to access the ICSP pads and an Arduino to burn the Arduino bootloader on the board. This has to be done because when you make all the changes to GRBL for core xy it will fill the boot memory by 102% so you need the bootloader from the Arduino Uno which is 0.5kb instead of the Nano one which is 1.5kbthat being said I had fun learning about GRLB, since I have more experience compiling the marlin firmware for the SKR boards. The features that grbl has make it worth it in the end.

I managed to electrically destroy the original GRBL controller on my 4018 CNC.I have bought this one. It looks different, but it worked great straight out of the box.I use larger NEMA-17 motors and this controller handles them well even on heavier-duty work like cutting aluminum.

I have 3 of these control boards one running a 1500mm X 1200 mm CNC router , one running a 800mm x 800mm laser and the other is a back just in case so far this control board has operated smoothly and efficiently for over the last 8 months ; the only two reason it did not receive 5 stars is because two of the limit switches are labeled incorrectly the Z axis and X axis are backward.

Works just perfect! I purchased a cnc 3018 and while testing it with a design a motor controller died, I replaced it and the same happened again but this time the main board was damaged. I ordered it an replaced it and also I built a case with a fan, now everything is working great! The motor controlers don't overheat anymore.

The board was pre-loaded with grbl version 1.1f that supports laser mode. The jumpers that configure the stepper drivers were already set and everything worked perfectly right out of the box. Would buy it again.

Love this board! It replaced the one that came with my CNC. Love the fact that it has E-stop and limit switch headers.The only thing to make it better would be to include the matching connector for the spinal or at least tell you which one to buy.

The board worked great, but there is no technical data available And that is taking the 5 star from my review. . It is important to mention you have to calibrate your steps ratio. I am ok with it. fair price.

This is my 3rd one, 2 I had to return because they didn't work but this last one works great.
