The best
I've always preferred the general flavor of the Lea and Perrins brand Worcestershire sauce to other brands, but I've found that I react to corn syrup so had to find an alternative. I found out that the Worcestershire sauce distributed by Lea and Perrins in other countries use sugar instead, so I ordered some from Canada and ordered this "special edition" from England. All three taste very similar: almost identical. But at a more discerning level the US sauce is "brash", the Canadian sauce is "smooth" and the special edition sauce is "smooth and rich". So there IS a difference, but you might or not taste it depending upon what you're using it in or on.I annually use very little Worcestershire sauce, so have decided to stock the special edition -- so that when I do use it I'm using the best-tasting (albeit most expensive) variant.

WOW WOW WOW
After reading about how Lea and Perrins came to be (because a friend was experimenting making his own worchestershire), I was curious about trying the original European L & P Worchestershire made for the European market. I got a bottle of that and also ordered this one as well. It is pricey. However, my friend's noticed the difference when I used it in a stroganoff recipe (with the other European version since they have had my stroganoff made with the US worchestershire). They loved the stroganoff with the US version, they loved it even more with the other European L &P, and they raved over it when I made it again with the Special Edition. Glad I got them both.

Lea & Perrins SPECIAL!
I must confess: I am a Worcesrershire addict. What it does for meats..."Fuller" was going to be in my review, even before I re-read the listing title! This is not merely to say the flavor is more intense than regular (US) L&P, but more well-rounded and smoother. It contains sucrose (table sugar) rather than fructose (corn syrup), and I would guess it is longer (oak) aged. The price is absurd, but like a fine wine...I will buy this again.

flavor in a bottle
The best worcestershire sauce ever. A couple drops on eggs, fish, and everything else but my tea. I would drink this straight if it didn't cost so much. Also makes a great steak sauce used straight... just a couple drops makes even the toughest shoe leather steak tasty.

WOW!
Think Lea and Perrins on steroids. It's not just stronger, but even more delicious (if that's possible). Worth the 3-4X pricetag. I tried it, I'm hooked.

Lea&Perrins
Very expensive! If you like Lea&Perinns worth a one time try. Much deeper flavor, I liked it.

The original is good - this is GREAT.!!I hope they keep it on the shelves and it doesn't become "limited" Edition
