Wow just wow!
Just got and have not installed yet, but I would say definitely worth the extra money in this one!! Instructions are amazing, wires are marked and get this…you can read them without a magnifying glass and prayer! Ok should have bought this originally! Now keep in mind I know the basics so I would say this is great for those who know enough to be dangerous. If you are well versed in wiring you may want to go a different route. I love that it is made in the USA and they have an actual support number …mind blown!

As easy as it gets
This is the second Painless wire harness I’ve installed, and they were both as easy as it gets. With the wires all marked on the entire length and bundled together in sections, throw the tail section to the rear and then just grab a wire and read what it’s for and connect it. Instrument panels and engine compartments can be tricky, but not with this harness! Just hook up the wires as labeled! Done! The instructions for each harness are great, even the universal fit has several options for different alternators, key switches, and signal switches. The only reason I took on rewiring from from to rear on my 1973 CJ-5 was I knew it would be easy with a Painless harness.

Very easy to use and amd understand even for dummies.
I decided to build my first real drift car. Not just some coil and wheel type build. At first I was gonna redo the entire body harness from the car but after looking at the rats nest of wiring and shit I had no idea did what I decided to redo it all (with barely any wiring exp outside of some small projects). After looking at a few youtube videos (superfastmatt was a good one) I decided for me a universal harness would be good. I did not expect the kit to be this good. After wiring 80% of everything I need I can confidently say the wiring will work as I need it to without excess connectors or much wasted anything. I did get all the connectors and switches I wanted but with amazon I am sure that wont be hard for others. Painless even has wiring diagrams for all the types of switches you could want. And then a wire explanation if just in case there is a type of switch you want to use but they don’t have a pinout for. All in all if you are new to this and wiring up a race car or non American project car. This is a great kit. Id recommend the bigger circuit one of you want power windows and locks but since I already wired those I went with with this kit. And glad I did.

Best I ever had
I’ve installed other brands of harnesses, but by far, Painless is the best. Better wire and fuse block, giant, clear instructions and lots of extras included. Make sure you use the tools that are recommended. I used shrink wrap on every connector to seal them from moisture. Take your time and read and reread the manual. You’ll be glad you spent the extra money for this USA made kit.

So happy that I bought Painless.
I spent a LOT of money on many spools of multiple gauges of GXL wire, connectors, etc. Thinking I'd just do it all myself. After buying all that and speaking to a buddy who's looking into a re-wire of his vehicle, I opted to get a Painless harness.Man, am I glad I did. The Painless manual itself is worth money. Things I didn't even consider are covered, plus basically having it already wired up to the fuse block, separated into branches, color coded and PRINTED wire identifiers. Awesome.I'm two months into my re-wire job (little bit here, little bit there, it's cold out!). Slow going is no fault of Painless -- that's just me in no hurry and moving slow. I am now finally nearing the end, can't wait to hook up the batteries and see sparks fl... see everything work flawlessly!

Pretty straight forward and complete versatile
Great alternative to a much more pricy vehicle specific product just doesn't come with all the plugs the manual is a great value in itself outlines various ignition systems and lighting configurations.

Must read the instructions and get familiar with all the different directions the harness goes
I rewind a 30 year old cobra kit car the had terrible wiring. It was a bit daunting at first but the more I got familiar with the layout it was easier than I first thought. Definitely the way to go for my project

They really are Painless to install
I have used cheaper wiring harnesses for less important projects. However, cheaper comes at a huge cost if you value your own time.I will be using Painless harnesses on all projects going forward. They are, as the name implies - Painless to install. It takes about 1/4 the time to install a Painless harness compared to a cheaper version, and the cheaper versions leave too much room for “ interpretationPainless instructions are clear, concise and easy to follow.I will likely install 4 or 5 harnesses in projects this year- they will all be from Painless.
