YONICO Flush Trim Router Bit 1/2-Inch Hinge Mortise 1/4-Inch Shank 14169q

Good product. Have used their bits a few times and not had issues. Weekend warrior over hear.

I have used this bit in guitar building and am very happy with the results. I don't know what else you could ask for in a bit, even if you spent a bunch more money. this is sharp, cuts well and is priced very well. the same bit can cost triple what this one costs if you go to the big box stores. I'll definitely be buying this brand again.

I liked it so much, I decided to get the 1/2" diameter size as well. Although those are 1/4 shanks.

The bit is very sharp and cuts well. However, the screw fell off after the first pass. I was able to put it back on and it fell again on the second pass.If they would have included the tool, maybe I could have tighten the screw back, but this is such a tiny screw that none of my tools fitUPDATE: the vendor reached out, checked what the problem was and sent me replacement parts to fix the problem. It is working great now and the customer service was impeccable

The media could not be loaded.  I was thinking to buy it, the name first, size of the shank, and some reviews, but i was wrong, this bit made the job, I love it, I'm going to buy more products from this company, Yonico thanks guys for this product, no more buying expensive bits anymore. 16 cuts, 3 passes on each one, and the bit still sharp, ready for more. For frequently abused round over bits and flush cut trim bits, I might continue to spring for WhiteSide and Freud, but when I have a very specific need for the odd shaped bit, I find Yonico to make WAY more sense. They cost like 1/3 as much (or even less) and are sharp enough for good results. If you decide you need an industrial grade top of the line bit and have to buy the best, you didn't lose much money on the yonico.

A good flush trim bit is pretty essential for most woodworkers. This bit can do the job, but I'd really suggest spending a little more for a better quality bit from Freud or Amana. My current project is some dining chairs in relatively soft, very straight-grained cherry and this low quality bit leaves lots of burning and tearout even when taking very shallow passes. I ordered a better Freud bit and the improvement was evident. In the attached pic half of the piece is routed with the cheap Yonico bit, and the other half with a better bit from Freud. The Yonico leaves burning and tearout everywhere, while the Freud bit leaves a glassy smooth surface even when routing against the grain.

2nd yonico bit I buy. Will continue with this brand in the future

After reading some reviews, the first thing I did when receiving this bit before putting it to work was to check the bearing and pull out a magnifying glass to check the blades. The blades were flawless! The bearing seemed fine too, but I loosened the hold down and snugged it up a little tighter and now its to my liking.I have only tested it out on one piece so far and while I messed up, setting the wrong depth for the project, the bit cut impressively and no sign of change to the bit.All my bits are Freud, the rest I've given away, but after seeing the quality of this bit, there will be some Yonico in my connection too. They won't replace Freud, but they are perfect for those less used bits that we still need.
