Works great!
I was so glad that my problem was the ICP and not the IPR... This was $50, the IPR was $150, so I started with this. I had no codes to pull, but from others descriptions, this is probably what I needed. The stock unit required a 16mm crows foot or stubby wrench to remove... This unit just required a deep socket (I think it was 27mm) to install.Be sure to clean up the connector good. Just blast it with brake clean or electrical contact cleaner. In fact if you suspect you have a bad ICP, disconnect your sensor and look for oil in the connector, if there is oil, then clean it and re-insert connector... if your problem goes away good for you, but it will probably be back because the failure mode is leaking oil through the unit.I am very happy, if the unit fails per-maturely like some have experienced, I will certainly edit this review.

What a great improvement for a few bucks and about 30 minutes time!
Who would have thought that such a small sensor could have such a huge impact on the performance of my 2002 F350 4X4 7.3 diesel. Getting the original sensor out took a bit of effort, but once that 15 year old seal was broken, the old part unscrewed easily, and the new sensor was a snap to install. I used a 1-1/16th in deep well socket to tighten it down, and that was it. I did buy a replacement pigtail, but the original appeared oil free and in good shape, so I gave it a test without replacing the pigtail. Strangely enough, it was until after the 2nd or 3rd trip that I really began to notice the increased power at take off, and the overall smoother acceleration. What a great improvement for a few bucks and about 30 minutes time. It truely feels like a real "upgrade".

it did work for the price
It did turn the light off but i am not really sure it worked like it was supposed to. The truck didnt run any better but it had to be doing something cause the check engine light went out. I dont know if i would try it again or go with oem. I sold the truck a few months later so i dont know about the longevity of it. At the time i needed one for the cheapest price i could get it for so if money is an issue i would say yes but if it isnt i would go name brand on this one

Rough Idle Fix 1996 F350 powestroke 7.3
I have a 1996 ford F350 7.3 Diesel automatic. Was having rough idling, and higher rpm idle. It shakes when at a full stop start and low crusing. I did some research and found this to be the problem. Found out the motorcraft cost alot more that this one plus you need to buy I debated and went ahead and choose this one because of budget plus you need to buy a 1 1/16 socket. After changing it out it was day and night difference truck ran smooth again. Been driving it for 3 months no problem and it isnt too hard to change anyways.

Like others, I purchased this part March 2015
Like others, I purchased this part March 2015. Last month I started having issues like others here, especially on cold mornings. Even though we allow the engine to get to operating temperature before driving off, once we pulled out of the drive and down our road it would always start loosing power and die almost in the exact same spot every time. I have now confirmed it was at the reaching of 3rd gear it would do this. I am giving it 2 stars because you would think that it would last more than 3 years with less than 15K miles on it.

2002 Ford Excursion
This ICP Sensor blows every now and then and my 7.3 stops running or runs rough. It takes 5 minutes to change out and it runs great again. The oem part is hard to remove these change out really quickly.

Works on early 99s.
Came late, but it was a postal error. Sensor works fine, too bad it didn't come with a new pigtail. As most of the time, a new one is recommended. Other then that, product is as described and has worked and still is since installed.
