I wanted a small pedal bin that was wide and slim for my galley kitchen. I didn't want a huge bin as the filled bags become heavy. This bin fits in my kitchen perfectly. I'm really pleased with it. The price is great especially when I saw how expensive bins are! It's sleek, sturdy and when I open it the lid lifts smoothly and doesn't slam closed.

I love this bin. It is neat and stylish, closes silently and stays shiny/clean on the outside.The only problem is getting bin bags that actually fit, as the standard 20L bags are too short and not wide enough to fold out over the edge when inserted so just collapse inside once you start filling it.If anyone has solved this dilemma please let me know - as otherwise this is FAB!

Great size for a small kitchen in a single bedroom flat. Good looking item and functional with pop up lid. It’s a bin after all

Decided to go for this size as we tend to change the bin very frequently and don't produce a high volume of non recyclable/ compostable any way.Metallic finish is of a good quality, has a convenient carry handle at the back, the foot pedal works smoothly and quietly alike the lid closure.Would recommend for small, medium and larger households as long as emptied fairly frequently.Convenient size also doesn't get in the way.Seems to be a very competitive price for the standard of item.

I was honestly hesitant to spend as much on a bin, having always used large plastic bins previously, but I took the chance that this would be okay and you know, I have to say that, yes it is just a bin, of course, but let me tell you, it is actually a brilliant bin, a great design, a doddle to clean, and crucially it functions well, with the foot pedal bit being so far extremely reliable and so yes overall I wish I had got this sooner. It is something I use every day and it is not that I am cheesing with it as much as it's not a stress, like cheap, dysfunctional bins before always were, so I highly recommend this.

The bin is perfect for my small kitchen. The quality is fantastic, and the bin is very well made. The soft-closing lid works exactly as it should. I like the fact that the foot pedal is made of metal and very sturdy (previous bins have had plastic pedals and they eventually break). I can honestly say there is nothing “basic” about this bin. It looks very expensive.I have found that the Tesco Pedal Bin Liners (22L, bag of 30, tie handles) fit (just). I had used them on my previous bin. Might see if I can find 30L bin liners so there is a bit more of an overlap at the top.

Really sturdy and much cheaper than similar bins I've looked at - I still feel that this is a lot of money for a bin - but I'm hoping the fact that it feels sturdy and all the mechanisms are stainless steel will help to make this last a long time! the inner goes in and out super cleanly too and pokes out just enough at the top to ensure you can hide the top of the bin bag completly!I was a little dubious, this being part of the 'Basics' range, but so far I'm really pleased!

I bought this second hand but its in perfect condition. Fits snug but lid opens nicely under our sink. Closes softly without banging. Easy to clean.

I bought two of these trash cans - 10.5 gallon wide for the kitchen and 2.5 gallon narrow for the bathroom. I'm very happy with the look and feel of them. They appear to be a great value, esp. if you get them on sale - the price around Prime days fluctuates often. The larger can was $85 on the first Prime Day 7/11, yet I had purchased it for $42 on 7/8. Same for the smaller can - $46 on 7/12, I paid $23 on 7/8. They came very well packaged with thick styrofoam on top and bottom of the box and under the can lid where it meets the body of the can. It arrived USPS, and a big 'thump' I heard at delivery made me cringe, but there was no damage to the box or contents.Beyond price, tho, I needed a new trash can that didn't cause problems during warmer weather with gnats/flies. Most trash cans don't completely seal, but rather have an air gap of some sort around the lid that allows the smells to escape enough to attract these pests. This one closes over and around the inner bin, so fingers crossed, it's eliminated that problem. **Update** There is definitely significantly less smell than my previous swing lid can. But really strong smell (onions!) is still noticable, much less, and can eventually attract gnats.Because it's a step-open can, I shouldn't be cleaning off the lid from food hitting it as it goes in, like my previous can. Hopefully I'll only be dusting it occasionally! (For the larger can, it's not a pedal, but a hefty u-shaped bar.) The slow close shouldn't create a 'woosh' of smelly air wafting up, like my previous swinging lid can. **Update** Changing from swing lid to step-open lid, I thot I wouldn't like the inconvenience of step opening vs just tossing into a swing lid. But I put a strong magnet under the lid edge, and a peg-type strong magnet opposite it on the outside, so one finger can lift the lid and with the same hand toss something in. And unlike a swing lid, I can step and hold open the entire lid to scrap off a plate or pan. And NO food or fingerprints on the lid - it stays clean. With the addition of a magnet "handle", the step-open can is better. And this after decades of swing lid cans.I also no longer need a full size can taking up space, esp. since it takes us a week or more to fill it. I didn't want to lean down to a too short can, or worry about missing it because the opening was too small. The 10.5 gallon can is tall enough and the opening is large enough that it looks and feels like a full size can.It's taken some time to find the right can for what I needed - the 10.5 gallon definitely checks all the boxes. There were less improvements needed for the bathroom can, but the 2.5 gallon also checks all those boxes. Very happy with the cans. I'll update this review if there's more to share.
