Edgit Edging Guide for Straight Shaft Stihl Trimmers (Some Models are Excluded)

The Edgit is the first “new idea” product I’ve bought in a very long time that works as well as they say it does!They are also correct about what kind of expectations you should have. It does take a few to get used to. Like any edger it makes a mess the first time or until you have a nice edged out line around your lawn (uses a lot of line too). Beyond that it’s great.They warn about projectiles but I don’t think it’s any more than a normal trimmer. It really does create a vacuum when using it as a mower for small areas. If you rev it up on cement you can really feel it.I installed it on a Stihl FS55. I had to add four 3/16” washers (nuts in my case, not included) in between the trimmers mount and the bracket for the Edgit to get the trimming line as close to the disk as possible (recommended for a narrow edging. Without the washers it was making a ½” gap). Everything else you need does come with it. It takes about 20 minutes and very basic tools.

Pleased and functions just like the yard maintenance guy on Youtube said it would. Someone had their thinking cap on when they came up with this idea.

This is a very cool product if you want to edge and don't want to have to spend hundreds more for a dedicated Edger. Only down side is that you would have to remove the edgit if you wanted to utilize a blade....but small inconvenience for what you get for sure.

Love my Edgit Pro. Works perfect for edging sidewalks and driveways. Saves time. Weed whacking with it is great too, takes a little time to get used to though due to the size. I'd definitely buy again.
