Intel Core2 DUO T8300 SLAPA SLAYQ Mobile CPU Processor Socket P 2.4GHz 3MB 800MHz

Bought new laptop and was giving old laptop to aunt. Before I did, I wanted to update the system for her. So I purchased this processor, which rated as fastest installed processor for my Inspiron 1525 Vista 32bit by Dell at the time.Once I wiped the HD, slapped in the hardware, installed W7 32bit, the old laptop has been flying around.Definite uptick in speed and now I'm contemplating keeping my old laptop. ;)I'm kidding, Auntie.

Dropped right in on my Dell 1525 Inspiron. Powered up and it was instantly recognized. That plus a Crucial SSD drive and the laptop is good for another few years. Kudos to the company selling these processors because they are totally compatible.

this cpu was cheaper than ebay prices which run about 80 bucks and it works. but i kinda feel like it was used because it did not come in original box or anything that said intel it was just a plastic container. it did arrive in condition as specified which was new because it did not look like it was used but felt like it should have came with the intel box and everything. it worked right when i installed it bios picked it on first go and windows picked it up to but installed some drivers by its self and had to restart but then was ready to go my bios version is 1.45 which is the latest one, i do recommend you upgrade your bios if your going to upgrade your 5315 to this.my original cpu was a celeron m 560 which was a 2.13Ghz processor it could not handle everything i was throwing at it especially playing hd movies. my cpu was so bad every 5 sec video and sound would get unsynced it was annoying among other things it couldnt handle. this cpu ran very hot like around 50 degrees celsius when doing nothing and at 65 or 69 with heavy loadbut now upgraded to this and now it runs at 41 degrees when doing nothing and 55 under heavy load and the speed has increased ten time now with a dual core i have upgraded to a 64bit os and now it is roaring it handles everything i throw at it why buy a new computer when i upgraded my cpu to this and 3gb of ram its like a new computer with everything i need for only 80 bucks and im not considering the cost of laptop cuz it was donated to me at no cost if you have a aspire 5315 give it new life with this and more ram only 3gb of course or you will get the bsodthere are no cons to this cpu as long as you know how to properly handle and install cpu'si do recommend this seller for anyone looking for a great cpu

this review relates to the T8300 CPU and the 4GB (2X2GB) PC5300 667MHz RAM which I also purchased through Amazon.These two upgrades, which took a total of 10 minutes, made an old, weak, and slow laptop new again. So, for less than 100 bucks I now have a smooth running, quick laptop. Delivery was ahead of schedule, packaging was excellent, prices were great as usual with Amazon. Very Happy.

Not worth the money for the benefit! I bought one and pulled it right back out and tossed it - I went with the Intel T7800 instead. There's also a T9500 that's even better but more costly. RH

Upgrading a Dell Inspiron 1525. The T8300 was a very noticeable improvement. Supplier was prompt in shipment and included the heat goop for the installation. Packaging was very good. The 8300 was easy to install . Would definitely recommend this supplier.
