I have seen the light!!
Wow. Glad I finally bit the bullet and got one. I grew up with original Gameboy so I dont have a problem with crappy screens like Gba sp or ds....but the screen on this system is insanely awesome! So much nicer....night and day difference. True hd on this is crazy. I understand you can put an ips screen in some older systems but it costs almost as much as this and i am not capable.Ok so....there are tons of games and settings choices. I honestly dont care for fighting games as 1 player so I didnt try any of those. My old favorites look stunning though. And I mean mind blowing. If you choose to play the gb originals in full screen they are formatted for that and dont look stretched like when you go full screen on GBA sp. i cant even tell you how stoked I am for all my old favorites on this nice big, crisp screen. The save state will keep your setting prefferences on that particular game too. SOD, Tour de Thrash is my absolute favorite gb game ever and it looks and plays great on here. I actually choose to play monochrome which is easy to do in the game setting. I took a picture to show you Nintendo World cup in that green pallete compared to the original Gameboy. The only thing i wish it had is Atari 2600 already on it because I really love some RS Baseball and quite a few other Atari games and would love that on here. You can add that emulator and games yourself if you are that savvy. I think I will just play whats on here. Now on those ever drive type carts, i was able to easily add roms and folder my favorites so I didnt have to scroll forever. I dont know how to do that with this. Emulators on here have broken the lists down like a-e, f-l, etc so you can atleast not scroll entire lists and trust me, there are entire lists. Every single game I wanted for every single system is on here. Every game I played worked great.A reviewer said there were only a handful of games and that is likely because they didnt read the instructions and use the trigger buttons to navigate to all the emulators. There truly are thousands of legit real games here.I like how it feels all though I do wish it were closer to original GB size because that system still feels so good in hand and will just always be my favorite. This system is very nice though and fits fine in my hands.*I put a screen protector on mine by cutting a bit from a laptop screen protector sheet. Didnt get it perfect but it serves the purpose. This is an excellent sytem.

Best little emulator available
This is the 3rd handheld emulator I have bought on Amazon. The first 2 were lousy. Poor performance, junk screen, bad controls, just total garbage. Bought this with low expectations, but was very surprised at how much I like this little thing. First, its comfortable to hold. D-pad and buttons are firm, not mushy. The screen is small, but thats a good thing. These games werent meant to be played on a big wide screen. This small square screen has the perfect screen ratio, games dont look distorted at all. Its also bright and crisp. The emulation is pretty good. Some of the modern games have some performance issues to be expected, but all the classic games I have tried have ran fine. Theres a lot of games included. And you can always add your own. I really dig the small size, it actually fits in your pocket.

Amazing!
PROS:I did not expect this RG300 to be this good! This thing is amazing!! The screen quality is rich and very clear. The actual handheld looks awesome/ charming and feels like a high quality product that one would pay high money for. I purchased this mainly for Nes, Gameboy, Game Gear, Genesis, Atari Lynx, Turbo Grafx-16, and SNES games. Every once in a while you might play a ROM that does not have the right sound such as Checkered Flag, Gates of Zendocon (Atari Lynx) and Batman (Sega Genesis). But from what I hear, you can add your own games to the SD card. I need to learn how to do this bc I hear it's very easy.... You can also delete game roms you don't want as you scroll through games while the unit is on. The amount of games on here is insane. I would have gone nuts if I had this back in the day when I was a kid!! I would say that that 99.9% of all the games for the systems listed above play perfectly. You can also rename the emulators by editing the name. It takes 5 seconds and very easy to do. I renamed all of mine so that they look and read like what they are. Lynx, Nintendo etc..... The speaker is so loud!! Some might like this a lot! Pretty cool but I always use headphone when playing. It is tricky to navigate at first, but once you start to do it and learn what button does what it becomes very easy. I heard some people really complaining big time about this and i don't know why. I am not tech savvy at all and new to all of this this and it only took me a short while and now it's extremely easy to jump from one game and system to another. Also using save states etc.... Trust me, if I can learn it and I am bad at this tech stuff, so can you. I like it!The screen is a nice size, but it would be perfection if it was 3.5"THE SCRATCH RESISTANCE GLASS SCREEN IS THE BEST SCREEN OUT THERE . **** ALL HANDHELDS SHOULD HAVE SCREENS THAT ARE OF THIS HIGH QUALITY MATERIAL!!!!!! ( I don't understand why this isn't the norm).CONS: [ I really wanted to give this RG300 5 stars instead of 4 bc it's almost there! I have to keep it real for all those who really like retro games and are looking for the best ]- The volume wheel is just a bit touchy and can be tricky when trying to adjust volume up and down. Not a deal breaker at all, but volume buttons would be so much much better. It would just be nicer even if it had a better and less tricky/ smoother volume wheel.- The shoulder buttons and two buttons in the middle are very clicky and can be heard. * Especially the shoulder buttons. I know that they are high quality in regards to being long lasting and wear and tear. Is there a better option that can withstand years of use? This might be annoying for someone who is trying to sleep next to you while your gaming or just trying to relax next to you.-The stock user interface that comes installed is nice, but could be more attractive and organized so that it flows and looks a bit better. Not a deal breaker at all being that it's all there, but it would be nice to have it look a bit more attractive.- It would be nice to have someone on the team do a quality control and take something like 3 weeks to inspect the roms so that the customer who purchases this is confident that all game roms provided for each system are flawless and sound good. The customer should not be like, "DANG! I really wanted to play Checkered Flag but the one that on here does not work. Now I have to go and find a better rom that actually works!" If you provide it for a paying customer, it should work.Overall, I love my RG300 and think that it's an amazing product. I am so stoked. Everytime I see it there on my night stand I feel like a kid again. This thing is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!P.S. If the very minor cons listed above where touched up and you slapped a 3.5 screen using the same high quality scratch resistant material, I would not have a problem giving the RG300 a 5 star rating!!! Being honest, I also would be willing to pay more money for it!

I love it but has a couple quirks
Overall I love this device, especially for the price. Great screen quality, so many games, and so much customization available on the menu, controls, save states, and more. It was a little confusing at first but I feel like I mastered how to navigate it in one day. Plenty of helpful YouTube videos to hell customize and use.Limitations: SNES and PS1 frame rates can lag a little...apparently there are customization methods to make it run smoother but it isn't perfect on these. It advertises no duplicate games but there are multiple files for one game released in different countries. That being said, it has had every game I've looked up thus far. I still give it 5 stars, recommend it, and will be buying more as gifts.
