This is not for your water temp gauge on a jeep Cherokee
There are two water temp sensors on older jeep Cherokee’s with the inline 6cyl. This one does not control your water temp gauge. It is for the ecm to see temp and is on the thermostat housing. The water temp sending unit is bolted too the cylinder head at the rear of the head next to the firewall.
