I read nearly every review for this mailbox and checked out every picture. I wasn't sure how the color was going to look with our newly remodeled exterior, but it's perfect. It's a mocha latte brown color. This thing is pretty darn big, it can hold several parcels, plus mail, which our mail person loves. It's surprisingly lightweight, but once assembled and installed is quite solid. Magnetic closure keeps the door shut tight, even in gusty winds (50 mph). Was worried about it being truly weatherproof, but it has rained on and off for the past 4 weeks and not a drop has gotten inside. We couldn't be happier! Now for the tips: One reviewer mentioned the box was a little wobbly and suggested adding two additional screws near the top of the post cover, we followed his recommendation and it made it far more sturdy (well worth the extra two screws--see blue arrow on photo for extra screw location). We also used these screws to secure the 4x4 pressure treated post to the Simpson Strong-Tie Common 4-in x 4-in Powder-coated Wood To Wood Base (Model #FPBS44), which is simply driven into the ground with a sledgehammer (keeping it level) then the 4x4 is screwed into the post base and the mailbox exterior is placed over the top and secured per the enclosed instructions. For the price, you really can't beat this mail box, it's classy-looking and far more durable than it appears. Piece of cake to put together (but see suggestion below). Everything snaps together. Nice and big for all the packages we get (Jeff Bezos personally signs annual thank you cards to my wife for all the business she gives to Amazon, we claim our UPS guy as a dependent).However, as mentioned in previous comments, after installation there was a wobble. I don't have a wobble any more. First, I think the instructions said to install a 4x4 2 feet under ground and 3 feet above. That is an error waiting to happen. 41" of 4x4 fits into the base and I used every inch of it. After cementing the pole in place I cut the top of the post to 41" and slid the base on top. Sturdy base.Now, I suggest bolting the bottom attachment plate (mine was black) to the bottom of the mailbox and assemble the rest of the mailbox on the post AFTER the steps below are complete. Attach the bottom of the mailbox to the base. Test the wobble. If needed (I needed it) predrill 3 holes through the bottom of the mailbox, through the base and into the 4x4. I used 3.5" weather proof screws with washers in a diagonal pattern. No more wobble. Then construct the mailbox on the pole. Probably will need 2 people to hold things in place but it will just take a couple of minutes. It should be very sturdy.You are welcome.

This mailbox is large. We can mail boxes, letters and poly mailers all at the same time and without our mail lady having to get out of her vehicle. Super easy to install, great quality so pretty. Looks expensive :)We got the tan color. Its more tope color. the neighbors have upgraded their mailboxes because ours is so nice. For the price this size and quality is the best I've seen. 10/10!

After about 10 years, my old mailbox was starting to rust and deteriorate. Finally, somebody decided to mow it down the other day, and when I came home it was lying on its side.I get a lot of Amazon packages, and instead of delivering to the front door, my mail carrier just loves to shove everything they can at the street. So what do I do?Get a really small mailbox with a slot that completely pisses off my mail deliverer, or be a nice person and buy something that holds packages, so they don’t have to travel up our long driveway to deliver? Well, I opted for the 2nd choice,It’s sturdy and seems to be well built, and easy to put together. It’s also very attractive, as now I’ve been on mailbox lookout and haven’t seen any similar in my area. It sure holds a lot and is quite large in size. I had to laugh when my Mail carrier left me a note saying they “Loved the new Box”, heheBe careful with the size of your numbers though, as there are indentations on the side to hold them, as it could be limiting in size. Very sturdy box. The plastics to install needs to be jammed into the grooves for a tight fit. Instructions were clear. Beautiful looking mailbox large enough for small packages

Large capacity makes it great for small parcels. Easy to put together. Requires 4x4 post holder/stake. Also says US Mail and I live in Canada.
