Shuttercase iPhone X/XS Battery Camera Case - Moment Lens Interface with Mechanical Shutter Button, Replaceable Camera Grip, Embedded 3000mAh Battery and Built-in Stand (Black)

First Impression: Feels great both with and without the handle. It’s a little tight at first, but once you stretch it out a bit, it works perfectly. It really gives you a comfortable camera like grip on your phone. I got my first thumb rest button lost in 30 minutes and had to stick the second back up thumb rest button with some glue. Problem solved. And BIG SURPRISE: It fits in my jeans when the camera handle is removed.I took my Shuttercase out with Moment Wide 18mm lens this weekend and did some heavy shooting. Here are my thoughts: It's heavier than feel my origional Moment case. But this is not just a case, I would say. It's more of a traditional camera gear. I love the way the mechanical shutter button works, and it definitely adds camera-like functionality to the iPhone X. Another plus is that the case does not rely on bluetooth or a proprietary app to function. You are free to use any photo app that can use the volume button as the shutter. Having the grip double as a battery is genius, and certainly gives you peace of mind that you will not have to worry about running out power.

What a great investment this turned out to be. Not only do you have a backup battery, but you’ve got a great hand grip and a mini tripod stand all in one. I do a lot of photography and often just take my iPhone with me because it’s so easy. This works on its own or with my moment lenses. And while the plug in takes advantage of my lack of dexterity when I’ve got cold fingers out on a long hike, it’s actually quite easy to manage and not a super delicate piece that you worry will break. Great purchase, I’m super happy with it and will get a lot of use from this.

I really wanted to like this case. Unfortunately, it has been an expensive blunder. I have owned and used it for 2 months now. It is in the process of falling apart. I wish I could say this is because I dropped it or was rough with it in some manner, but unfortunately it basically lived in the pockets of my scrubs.I loved the thought of the lanyard until the small plastic that secured it broke. I went to pull my phone out of my scrub pocket by the lanyard and there was no phone attached. It literally just broke while in my pocket. The panel where you attach the lens also broke off the other day, again while in my pocket. Now the back casing is peeling/cracking off and it is only 2 months old.I expected more out of this case. I loved the grip and the battery add-on. Unfortunately, it just didn't work out due to poor design.

I use my iPhone X to take and upload photos for online auctions, so I am taking hundreds of photos a day. It is a great idea, and the mechanism works well. However, I have not been able to make the battery charge my phone.

I use a Moment wide lens with Shuttercase. So, on my iPhone XS, I got a wide lens, a Telephoto and an extra super wide with the add-on optics of Moment as good as the new iPhone 11 ultra-wide. It’s such a pleasure clicking the real shutter button and hears that crisp sound, almost reminding me of rangefinders. The extra battery in the camera handle is very helpful when I’m walking around the city taking pictures all day. I would recommend anyone interested in iPhone photography trying out the Shuttercase.

Edit- Despite the case not working on my iphone X, the company customer service is definitely top notch and was very communicative with my issue.

Sleek! The product is well packaged, arrived early. Easy to use the case. The battery grip, the leather grip, the case itself all have a great feel and are smooth to the touch. The device makes it easy to open the camera and begin shooting using the shutter button. Be careful putting on and removing the grips. It takes a little force and you might hurt your fingers or hands on the back part of the grips, but not a huge concern. I can’t wait to get a Moment 2 lens and do some shooting with this case!

I'm more than happy with my Shuttercase. My iPhone feels like a different camera with Shuttercase on. Just wanna go out and shoot more photos now: )
