I just got this yesterday and tried it out when I got home... I was a bit afraid it might not work because of all the comments on here.. but I think its because people are using any type c power supply.. when they should be using the switch power supply.. I mean I'm using this for my switch... I think you can use it with other things like your phone of some thing... ill try with other things and see if it works.. but for now it works with the switch...Its small and compact you can take to other places and not feel like you have to bring big blocky thing to a friends house, office party, hotels.... or just set the switch in a different room (for a short period of time) with out the docking station... etc..Well I hope this helps other with on this item

This little device is a great find for the switch. Small enough to throw in your travel case and it continues to work with each update Nintendo rolls out (be aware that Nintendo could roll out an update that breaks compatibility with this at any time). Personally, I travel with an HDMI cable and a Macbook power brick anyway, so I can use those accessories with this dongle and enjoy my switch on any TV or monitor I come across.Pro-tip: If you find that you are not getting a signal to your display, try this. Disconnect the switch from the dongle, power on and unlock the screen fully, then plug back in once you are at your home screen. This does the trick for me every time.

The whole reason I bought this was to stream 60hz 4k with dex on my s24 ultra. It would work for about 30s increments, and then cut out, and restart dex. DO NOT BUY IF TRYING TO USE IT TO STREAM 4K @ 60HZ WITH SAMSUNG DEX

Got this for my wife’s Note 8, our first Note product, so as an iPhone user, the whole area is quite confusing for me. While doing my research, I found this item and it crossed all the items I needed of the list.1) needs to charge while it is in use. (Done, just plugger it in, and it started charging right away. )2) needed to interface with the TV easily, so that my wife or kids could plug in her phone, and have it be as uncomplicated as possible. (Plugged in the HDMI cable, turned on the TV, plugged in the charging cable, and then my wife’s phone. It started playing Netflix right away.Best adapter for the Note 8, as far as I am concerned.

My only dislike is that this sows up under Nintendo "switch" gaming as a alternative to a `dock`. NOTE that if you buy this for the same reason you or your child will only be able to play will only be able to play with The detachable controllers, no way to plug in a controller, PLUS this as to be powered to work.Positives, sows a Galaxy S10 as clear on a 48 inc TV as on the pone screen, idk ow that is even possible. Like I said, does what it literally says, nothing less, nothing more.

Bought for the Switch, looking to have a cost effective way to easily play the console on other televisions, other than buying the official Nintendo dock. Works perfect. There are some reviews complaining that it doesn’t work as intended and citing false advertising, but I imagine they didn’t do full research in knowing you need a certain voltage A/C adapter plugged in, which is not supplied. It will not work without being plugged in. Found a variable voltage Type-C item for cheap and voila! I’ve got a very portable switch dock for a fraction of the cost. A+

These reviews are a little confusing, as this listing is for a bunch of different adapter types.This is a review for the USB-C to HDMI adapter.This product does exactly what it's supposed to.You can replace a Switch dock with it, and you can mirror a Samsung Note 9 (I presume all samsung products with USB-C ports would be the same). The Dex software is cool and intuitive, and screen mirroring is perfect.A very big caveat is that I've found that cheaper HDMI cables results in video-only being sent to the TV being connected to. I tried four HDMI cables, two of which were really cheap (but work just fine for every other purpose), and two of which were moderately priced/higher quality. Only the higher quality ones work.So if you are having issues with video loading but no audio or sound being sent through your HDMI, try different HDMI cables. The cheap Amazon basic stuff may not be good enough.This wasn't an issue for me because I have a number of unused HDMI cables that I can juggle around. The cheap HDMI cables have been relegated to other devices. But it's definitely unfortunate that, if you don't have good HDMI cables available, you may be completely SOL. For that I gotta say this is a 3 star product.

Bought this for Switch. It's small enough to put in the Switch carrier case, and I can use it with a shorter HDMI cable that's not as thick to go with it. Video and quality is great, no problem with playing Switch games or watching Hulu video on TV.It works with LG V50 running Android 10 that supports TV mode as well, similar to Samsung Dex.
